JUPITER'S LEGACY Season 2 Has Already Been Mapped Out According To Comic Book Writer Mark Millar

Season one of Jupiter's Legacy hit Netflix last Friday, and comic book writer and co-creator Mark Millar has now revealed that a second batch of episodes has been mapped out. Will they be made, though?

Jupiter's Legacy arrived on Netflix this past Friday with relatively little fanfare. Prior to Volume 1's release, we only got a brief CGI teaser (that really wasn't very good) and a single trailer, which was a surprise considering these Millarworld properties are supposed to be part of the streamer's own shared comic book world.

Right now, the series sits at just 34% on Rotten Tomatoes, and Netflix hasn't touted any significant viewing numbers during its first weekend on the streaming service.

Whether we'll get a Volume 2 now remains to be seen, and that's slightly frustrating when the first batch of episodes left us with so many unanswered questions. However, according to series co-creator and writer Mark Millar, a season two has been mapped out...it just depends on how the series was received.

"We know where we're going. I mean the books are a good template," he tells ComicBook.com"The books are all sitting there for us so we have a very rough plan, but we know it all depends on, not to get too cocky, that the audience responds the way we think they will. We feel good about it."

"We feel as if people are going to like this; the response so far has been amazing. So we really feel this has got a lot of likes, I think," the writer continued. "So, yeah, we do. I mean, we talk privately all the time about what we'd like to do but nothing can be formal until we get our numbers."

It would be no bad thing to see more of Jupiter's Legacy, especially if the team working on the series can make the storytelling a little more consistent (a major problem with the first season).

In our review of that, we concluded by saying "Jupiter’s Legacy 'Volume 1' feels like a prologue to a much better series, but there are some fresh ideas to be found here, and a great cast mostly helps to elevate a disjointed story to not quite super, but still heroic levels."

Have you watched the series yet?

Jupiter's Legacy first two episodes were watchable but then it just turned bad.

@DoubleD - crazy to think the guy who was the showrunner for Daredevil season 1 and Spartacus is behind this show.

I know he left towards the end of production but they had already filmed 6 episodes.

@BlackBeltJones - VOLUME 1 JUPITER'S LEGACY Critics Consensus.

Despite some truly epic fights, Jupiter's Legacy is simply too overstuffed and slow-moving to land many narrative punches.

@DoubleD - Episode 7 & 8 were quite good IMO. The scene where they get their powers was the closest the show got to epic.
