THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT: 5 Predictions For The Final Two Episodes - Possible SPOILERS

After a superb diversion last Wednesday, we now have just two episodes of The Book of Boba Fett left. With that in mind, we're sharing some wild - and likely - predictions for where things could go next...

The Book of Boba Fett has definitely been something of a mixed bag. Flashbacks to the bounty hunter's post-Return of the Jedi fate haven't been quite as interesting as we'd hoped, while a limited amount of time spent in the present day has somewhat hurt the exploration of Fett as Tatooine's new crimelord.

It's been undeniably fascinating to see more of Tatooine, though, particularly when it comes to the Tusken Raiders. Now, after a stellar episode focusing on Din Djarin, we're looking ahead to what might be on the way in the final two episodes of the Disney+ series.

War is coming to the planet Luke Skywalker once called home, and that could have major consequences for the wider Galaxy (Far, Far Away). There's also the small matter of what the deal is with the Pykes, not to mention a huge tease about some surprise returns and cameos. Needless to say, we have a lot of exciting - and hopefully accurate - ideas about what comes next.

5. More Familiar Allies

Boba Fett needs muscle if he's going to overcome the Pyke Syndicate, and he's already recruited that colourful biker gang, Black Krrsantan, and Din Djarin (we're pretty sure the Rancor will come into play somehow as well).

That can't be it, though, so we'd be willing to bet on more big names from the wider Star Wars Universe showing up to lend Tatooine's new crimelord a hand. IG-88, Dengar, and Bossk are all highly likely, particularly as the latter has a history with Fett stretching back to The Clone Wars.

We could even see some surprise names from slightly more obscure corners of this Galaxy Far, Far Away; after all, no one predicted Krrsantan's role in The Book of Boba Fett considering he debuted in the comic books!

A team-up this epic is going to make a lot of Star Wars fans very happy indeed...

4. A Bigger Enemy

Look, it's entirely possible The Book of Boba Fett will simply be a story about the former bounty hunter taking down the Pyke Syndicate in order to "save" Tatooine and establish his new role as a crimelord. That will inevitably disappoint some fans, but there's evidence to suggest Lucasfilm has far grander plans.

The show's superb theme has an apparent Crimson Dawn tease, and this feels like the perfect place for that group to make its presence felt...with or without Emilia Clarke's Qi'ra.

We'd rather she did return as the group's leader following Maul's demise, and establishing Crimson Dawn as a major threat following the fall of the Empire could lead to lots of exciting future stories. Either way, some sort of big bad pulling the strings would be a welcome addition to the series.

However, don't be surprised if the truth is simply that the Pykes killed the Tusken Raiders and not that speeder gang.

3. Another Status Quo Shift

The Mandalorian brought Boba Fett back from the dead, and a post-credits scene set the stage for The Book of Boba Fett. The bounty hunter went through some major changes throughout the course of Din Djarin's series, establishing himself as more of an anti-hero than a dastardly villain.

While it's feasible this spinoff will conclude with his rule over Tatooine being cemented, we're anticipating another big change. What that could be is hard to say; it might be that Fett sets his sights on an even larger empire (not that Empire) or perhaps realises that ruling over this planet like Jabba the Hutt did - even with "respect" - isn't the right thing to do.

Many fans have expressed disappointment that the series doesn't follow Fett in his prime taking in bounties, but The Mandalorian has already done a stellar job of spotlighting this with Djarin.

It's not outside the realm of possibility that a different sort of adventure could follow, though, so don't be surprised if Fett is taken off planet, perhaps to finally explore his origin as a clone on Kamino?

2. The Hutts Return

Jabba the Hutt's cousins rather appropriately made a sizeable impact in The Book of Boba Fett, but quickly vanished after deciding it wasn't worth going to war for Jabba's old throne.

There's something a little odd about that, and we'd be shocked if it's the last we've seen of them. The Twins very quickly changed from wanting to kill Fett to gifting him a Rancor and the bounty hunter they hired to kill him, leading us to wonder whether they're plotting another attack.

It would make sense for them to get into bed with the Pykes (or whoever's pulling their strings), and the Hutts giving up their claim on Tatooine just doesn't feel right.

We don't think Fett is quite done with these two behemoths, and Jabba's son, Rotta, making his return could work nicely as a last-minute surprise to set up season 2.

1. Reunited With Grogu

The irony of The Book of Boba Fett's best episode basically being another chapter of The Mandalorian is not lost on us, and those final few moments nicely set the stage for Din Djarin to be reunited with Grogu. It would be a little odd for the series to divert from Fett again this coming Wednesday, so we'd bet on something stopping the bounty hunter from leaving Tatooine...for now.

After helping Fett vanquish his foes, Din finding Grogu in the finale would be the perfect way to keep fans hooked on this series and build excitement for season 3 of The Mandalorian

We'd probably only show Grogu - and Luke Skywalker - from afar, saving the actual meeting for that upcoming third season. However, it might be fun to have Din bump into Han Solo on whatever planet Luke has taken his new student to (even if some would prefer he cross paths with Fett).

After all those teases - including a Grogu-sized cockpit in that Naboo Starfighter - it's pretty obvious The Child will soon be back by Mando's side.

should have had the flashbacks instead revolve around that comic they did about boba delivering han solo in carbonite to jabba. I hear Qi'ra and crimson dawn make an appearance.

They could keep the present-day story, but weave those more interesting flashbacks into the story somehow and how the competing bounty hunters from that comic clash with boba once more now that he was taking jabba's place.

I predict Mando will steal the show again and when the season ends we’ll forget Boba Fett ever existed.
