THE MANDALORIAN Season 3 Promo Shows Jon Favreau's Paz Vizsla Surrounded By Dozens Of His Fellow Mandos

We're a little over two weeks away from The Mandalorian's return, and Lucasfilm definitely isn't giving too much away about the Disney+ series. It's become the norm for the show to be shrouded in secrecy, of course, but a brief new TV spot (via SFFGazette.com) drops at least one big hint about what Star Wars fans can expect.

There are a couple of new snippets to be found here, but it's a shot of Jon Favreau's returning Paz Vizsla which immediately jumps out at us.

As well as unleashing the full might of his massive heavy blaster, the Mandalorian is shown surrounded by a good two dozen of his fellow helmeted warriors. We've heard that season 3 will feature a lot of Mandalorians and those reports clearly weren't exaggerating if what we see here is any indication; they're a colourful bunch too and clearly hail from across the entire Galaxy.

What's led to them assembling? There are plenty of rumours out there, though we can't help but wonder if they're all rallying behind Din Djarin as he looks to reclaim Mandalore as its new leader. He is, after all, the rightful wielder of the Darksaber!

The journeys of the Mandalorian through the Star Wars Galaxy continue in season 3. Once a lone bounty hunter, Din Djarin has reunited with Grogu. Meanwhile, the New Republic struggles to lead the Galaxy away from its dark history. The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.

The series stars Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito. The directors of the eight-episode season 3 include Rick Famuyiwa, Rachel Morrison, Lee Isaac Chung, Carl Weathers, Peter Ramsey, and Bryce Dallas Howard.

Favreau is the showrunner/head writer and serves as an executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Rick Famuyiwa, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck are co-executive producers.

The Mandalorian season 3 premieres on March 1.

@JoshWilding

While Favreau does the voice for Vizsla, the physical character is portrayed by Tait Fletcher. It seems a little disingenuous to accredit this as entirely as Favreau's character and unfair to Fletcher's contribution to the role. It should be a simple enough edit/update to improve the facts of this article.

@TheRose - It happens. Christensen has never "played Vader", except in ROTS and Kenobi. He wasn't in the suit after Mustafar in the former and both Vaders were still voiced by Jones. Prowse did the heavy lifting for the role in the OT. I guess it all just depends on how you feel about it, but you probably know that. I would just think it's a known thing at this point. I'll just say this since it seems to matter to you...Josh goes for quickness and quantity, not quality. Journalism nowadays is as much about getting a reaction out of you as it is "informing" you.

@The1st - oh, I'm aware of Josh's typical pattern. I mostly pointed it out because there is little editing oversight. Most of the edits I feel actually come from commenters.

I guess I'm growing more tired of just complaining about the low quality, so felt like adding an editorial note.

@TheRose - Oh, oh...I just remembered this is a Josh Mando article lol. What to do?

Josh:
You have come here, regularly, to post content. This is the way. You are as this site's primary journalist. But, you have worn MANY masks...so you are a journalist no more.

@TheRose, I feel ya. It's hard to get to mad about a guy going about his grind though. I agree, but maybe it's much to do about nothing.

One day the main inspiration for this show will be rebooted and everyone will say how much it copies Mando and Leon and Road to Perdition.

It's as if the Disney era of Star Wars has slowly drained all of the enthusiasm i had for the franchise. And when i think it's all gone, i am reminded that one small drop remains. Mando. My last connection to this universe.

This series is excellent.

Now they just need to give Grogu a baby sized light saber. That would be hilarious.
