The Mandalorian's second season introduced us to some of the past inhabitants of Mandalore, including the enigmatic Koska Reeves. Accompanying Bo-Katan Kryze into battle, she was undeniably badass, though many fans thought WWE Superstar Sasha Banks (Mercedes Varnado) might be taking on the role of a live-action Sabine Wren.

Koska isn't Sabine, but there's definitely still some real potential for the character. Unfortunately, Banks recently told Bleacher Report that she won't be part of The Mandalorian season 3.

"First of all, thanks for trying to get that out, but I'm not on the next season," she confirmed. "But it was incredible being on The Mandalorian on Star Wars. To be on a franchise that is so huge and so loved, just look at the reception from fans outside of the WWE Universe. It was the best feeling of all time. The projection of that show was overwhelming. I legit felt like I was in a galaxy so far, far away. I felt like I was on a different planet."

This is disappointing, but it's certainly possible Banks isn't telling the whole truth here, especially as the Disney+ series is so shrouded in secrecy. Her busy WWE schedule might be what put the brakes on Koska coming back, though, and it's not exactly like the character was a major part of The Mandalorian!

Regardless, Banks clearly values that time working on the Star Wars franchise, however brief it may have been.

"It was something I will always take with me and I took so much of what I learned from acting with them and being with so many great stars to WWE. It really helped my confidence as well when I came back from doing The Mandalorian two years ago," she continued. "It was such a learning curve and something I wasn't expecting, but now I'm in this whole new Hollywood world and it's going amazingly. I'm so excited for the fans, and I can't wait for my fans to see what's next."

We have a feeling that Koska's story isn't finished just yet, and Banks could quite easily reprise the role in a different live-action or animated series given the way this franchise continues to expand.

The Mandalorian is expected to return to Disney+ in 2022. Head over to TheRingReport.com to check out more pro wrestling news from the ComicBookMovie.com team!

I still it's funny that Koska called out someone else for being a sidekick, while being a sidekick herself.

That said, I did like the character. My expectation is the next season is gonna be heavily focused on Mandalore, so I'm kinda surprised she doesn't return.

@bkmeijer - yeah that was a pretty good joke although I could never make out Boba Fett's comeback between the helmet voice effects and the fact the "pot/kettle" idiom was adapted with less familiar Star Wars jargon.

@AC1 - sometimes replies are visible under another comment, if the comment you originally responded to got deleted.

I don't even remember Boba's comeback at her though. Maybe I should rewatch the show (which I planned on doing for his show anyway)

@bkmeijer - I just googled the line, apparently he says "Well, if that isn't the quacta calling the stifling slimy" but yeah I've seen the episode a couple of times and it's very hard to hear.

But yeah I'd say that's the perfect reason for another viewing!

@AC1 - that's actually a pretty solid response. Never paid attention to it

I'll probably only watch the Boba Fett episodes though. Gonna watch all of season 1 and 2 again when season 3 of the Mandalorian airs.

In fairness she seems like the type of character who can kind of weave in and out of multiple Star Wars projects fairly easily, which Dave Filoni seems to like doing, so even if she's not in Mando 3 I'm sure we'll see her elsewhere.
