Castiel Fights Death In The New Promo For SUPERNATURAL Season 12, Episode 12: "Stuck In The Middle (With You)"

Dean had a rough go of it last night as he nearly lost everything that makes him who he is, but luckily, Rowena stopped by to give Sam a hand in taking down a nasty batch of witches and the unlikely duo was able to restore the elder Winchester to his previous fun-loving self.
Next week, we return to the season's main storyline as Sam, Dean, & Castiel reunite with Mary on an intriguing new case, but the trio is blindsided when they discover she's been working with the über-shady British Men of Letters. Just when it couldn't get any worse, Mary is double-crossed and the British Men of Letters reveal their true intentions, which put Castiel's life in immediate danger.

In the show’s eleventh season, Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki & Jensen Ackles) faced their greatest challenge yet: the all-powerful Darkness, better known as the sister of God.
