Hunting with your brother is one thing, hunting with your mother... now, that's an entirely different animal, especially when she's one of the best in the game, although the game has changed since she was last on the scene, but how do you say no to your mom?

Last year's season finale saw Dean finally reunited with his long-dead mother Mary and now, before the pair can catch up even a bit, they must race against the clock to find Sam, who's been kidnapped by a mysterious third party. The CW released this kickass new trailer with lots of new footage from the upcoming year, including Mary meeting Castiel, Rick Springfield as Lucifer, Mary reacquainting herself with Baby, and a lot more. Check it out below:

MAMA WINCHESTER IS BACK — Dean (Jensen Ackles) is overwhelmed as he comes face to face with his mom, Mary Winchester (guest star Samantha Smith). Meanwhile, Sam (Jared Padalecki) is fighting for his life after Toni, from the Woman of Letters, shot him. Phil Sgriccia directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb (#1201).

Plus, here's the plot synopsis & promotional stills from Season 12 Episode 2: "Mamma Mia"

RICK SPRINGFIELD GUEST STARS - Dean (Jensen Ackles), Castiel (Misha Collins) and Mary (guest star Samantha Smith) have a lead on Sam (Jared Padalecki) and set out to rescue him. Dean is uncomfortable with putting Mary in danger but she insists on going along. Meanwhile, Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard) is tipped off that Lucifer has taken over the body of rock star Vince Vicente (guest star Rick Springfield). Thomas J. Wright directed the episode written by Brad Buckner & Eugenie Ross-Leming (#1202). Original airdate 10/20/2016.

And, here's the plot synopsis for Season 12 Episode 3: "The Foundry"

OH BABY – When a crying baby leads to death in a mysterious abandoned house, Mary (guest star Samantha Smith), Sam (Jared Padelicki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) decide to investigate. Meanwhile, Castiel’s (Misha Collins) hunt for Lucifer (guest star Rick Springfield) leads him, begrudgingly, to partner up with Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard). Robert Berens wrote the episode directed by Robert Singer (#1203). Original airdate 10/27/2016.

In the show’s tenth season, Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki & Jensen Ackles) faced their most personal threat yet. The all-powerful Mark of Cain threatened to consume Dean, turning him into one of the monsters he has spent his life hunting. Meanwhile, a formidable witch, Rowena (Ruth Connell), rose to power to claim her position at the right hand of the King of Hell, Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard). Once Rowena revealed herself to be Crowley’s mother, the King was forced to choose between his family and the Winchesters — all while Sam, with the help of fallen angel Castiel (Misha Collins), Crowley and some unlikely allies, waged a desperate battle to save Dean from the Mark of Cain. Taking matters into his own hands, Dean paid a terrible price to break free of the curse, but with Death defeated and Darkness freed upon the Earth, the Winchesters will need all the help they can get.

Supernatural features:
Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester
Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester
Misha Collins as Castiel
Mark A. Sheppard as Crowley
Samantha Smith as Mary Winchester

@KingPatel I'm curious. Do you watch Supernatural?

@KingPatel - Haha nice! Season 10 was a great season. The 200th episode has got to be the funniest episode ever. I couldn't stop laughing.

@KingPatel - It's addicting! The show has such great writing and the the guys turn in great performances every time. There's no doubt that after season 5 things went a bit downhill, but season 8 rectified that. It's been getting better ever since.

It must suck having to write about Mary's return when you haven't gotten there yet. :(

Love this show, mainly gets carried by Jensen and Jared. My favorite show on CW by a long shot.

@Menks123 - I think Jensen would make the perfect Hal Jordan for the DCEU.

@Kr08 - I'd be down. I would love for him to get bigger roles in movies. He's shown so much range in Supernatural, he can most definitely carry a film like that. He's basically Hal in Supernatural tbh.
Kr08
Kr08 - 10/6/2016, 8:12 PM
@Menks123 - He's shown a range that many big name actors aren't capable of. It baffles me how someone like Tatum can get so many roles and then you have someone like Jensen who can't catch a break in films.
Menks123
Menks123 - 10/6/2016, 8:15 PM
@Kr08 - Yeah, I mean I like Tatum a bit, but Ackles is by far a better actor and doesn't seem to get respect for it. Maybe it has something to do with being a CW actor? Even though Supernatural is not really like most of their shows.
Kr08
Kr08 - 10/6/2016, 8:18 PM
@Menks123 - That's essentially it. Jared and Jensen have talked about it to people too. They said that they're mainly seen as TV actors, but they don't care because they love the show and the people they work with.

All it takes is for someone on either Marvel or DC to notice how great Jensen's acting is. They cast him in a big role like Green Lantern, then they're set.
Menks123
Menks123 - 10/6/2016, 8:20 PM
@Kr08 - Yeah....be crazy not to, not only because of acting chops, but the massive fan following would help big time.
Kr08
Kr08 - 10/6/2016, 8:26 PM
@Menks123 - Oh, for sure. It's like with Dylan O'Brien from Teen Wolf. I love Teen Wolf and ever since the first episode, I knew the O'Brien was going to be huge. When he did Maze Runner, the entire Teen Wolf fandom flocked to the movies.

Could you imagine if Jensen gets his own CBM? Supernatural has one of the biggest fanbases in the world.

@Kr08 - Yup, and I know he was in the running for Captain America if i'm remembering correctly. So there definitely is interest on his end for the universe, really hoping it happens.
Kr08
Kr08 - 10/6/2016, 8:32 PM
@Menks123 - But until then, I really hope they do a crossover with Stranger Things. The shows are perfect for each other.
Menks123
Menks123 - 10/6/2016, 8:38 PM
@Kr08 - ahah that would be fricking awesome.

@Menks123 - I actually came with an idea on what it would be like. I wrote on here before, but here it is.

Sam and Dean travel back in time because Eleven creating the portal into the Upside Down is causing problems for the brothers.

Here’s what I want to see:

- Sam and Dean meeting the kids and them trying to explain to the Winchesters what a Gorgomon is, Eleven, and the Upside Down.
- Dean having an instant connection to Dustin
- Hopper getting the Hunter 101
- Nancy having a crush on Sam
- Eleven and Castiel having the weirdest, but most hilarious conversation.
- Sam and Dean being followed around by the kids
- Sam seeking justice for Barb
- Dean hyping up movies that haven’t been released yet
- The kids talking about Eleven being psychic and Dean makes a crack about Sam’s psychic powers. “Sam was psychic once… But he was a bit of a dick.”
- Dustin and Dean both saying “Awesome” at the exact same time
- Finally, the brothers introduce them all to shipping. #DestielForever

@Kr08 - Honestly, your ideas are pretty awesome and spot on with what the characters would be like lol. Would love that possibility of Eleven and Castiel interact. It just makes so much sense and would be one of the best crossovers.
Kr08
Kr08 - 10/6/2016, 9:04 PM
@Menks123 - It would be the perfect filler episode for both shows. Could you imagine the ratings and how Tumblr would react? Fandoms would die excitement lol
Menks123
Menks123 - 10/6/2016, 9:07 PM
@Kr08 - Lmao it would be ridiculous to be honest. Honestly though, it's something that would honestly work perfectly. Tones are exactly the same so nothing would change there, and both have amazing music that goes hand in hand.
Menks123
Menks123 - 10/6/2016, 9:08 PM
RIP, saying honestly too much, but now i'm hyped to the idea of that cross over lol.

Kr08 - 10/6/2016, 9:12 PM
@Menks123 - What can I say? I have a gift (cocky dude over here)

I really hope the Duffer Brothers consider the idea or even have it. I should hound their Twitter if they have one

this show should have ended at season 5, i'll stick with watching those seasons and Buffy The Vampire Slayer

@dracula - my man! Yes. How awesome is Buffy? Angel is pretty great too. Wish we'd gotten a Spike TV show, especially since they were talking about pairing him with Willow for it. I can actually imagine that having a Supernatural flavour, with Spike travelling round in that old DeSoto of his with a shotgun and some classic tunes. Ripper show might've had a similar vibe too since it was gonna be about ghosts.
dracula
dracula - 10/6/2016, 8:57 PM
@connorblaze - they were never going to do a Spike show what they were going to do is a movie, with Gunn becoming a vampire and the big bad, also Illyria was going to be in it. The Ripper show would have been great but from what I heard it was just a miniseries. what would have been great would have been Faith The Vampire Slayer, it would have been her on a motorcycle traveling the world, kind of like the old show Kung Fu
connorblaze
connorblaze - 10/6/2016, 9:47 PM
@dracula - both a Tv series with Willow and a film more tied with the Angel series were considered, I think I'd have prefered a show though. Never was much of a Illyria fan, and Gunn and Spike barely had any interaction in the show so I don't think Gunn would have made much of a Spike villain. Would have liked to see Spike on his own though in any medium, as his story was always so tied in to Buffy and then Angel, but I always found him more interesting and complex than both of them. Faith show could have been cool, I never caught the Faith bug like most though. My favourites were always Spike, Willow, Xander, Oz and Giles. Oh man a Giles, Spike and Willow series would have been cool. Spike and Giles had a great chemistry.
