After being held captive in last week's season premiere, tonight's episode finally saw Sam freed and then saw him have a long overdue reunion with his recently resurrected mother and next week, he'll join her and Dean on their first case as a family. The case in question will take the Winchester trio to an abandoned house that is leading civilians to their deaths with the sounds of a crying baby. Meanwhile, Castiel embarks on a mission to track down Lucifer and enlists the services of Crowley to lend him a hand. Check out the promo for next week's episode below:

“The Foundry” — (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

OH BABY – When a crying baby leads to death in a mysterious abandoned house, Mary (guest star Samantha Smith), Sam (Jared Padelicki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) decide to investigate. Meanwhile, Castiel’s (Misha Collins) hunt for Lucifer (guest star Rick Springfield) leads him, begrudgingly, to partner up with Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard). Robert Berens wrote the episode directed by Robert Singer (#1203). Original airdate 10/27/2016.

In the show’s tenth season, Sam and Dean Winchester (Jared Padalecki & Jensen Ackles) faced their most personal threat yet. The all-powerful Mark of Cain threatened to consume Dean, turning him into one of the monsters he has spent his life hunting. Meanwhile, a formidable witch, Rowena (Ruth Connell), rose to power to claim her position at the right hand of the King of Hell, Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard). Once Rowena revealed herself to be Crowley’s mother, the King was forced to choose between his family and the Winchesters — all while Sam, with the help of fallen angel Castiel (Misha Collins), Crowley and some unlikely allies, waged a desperate battle to save Dean from the Mark of Cain. Taking matters into his own hands, Dean paid a terrible price to break free of the curse, but with Death defeated and Darkness freed upon the Earth, the Winchesters will need all the help they can get.

Supernatural features:
Jared Padalecki as Sam Winchester
Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester

Think I'll stop watching here. Finally. Rick Springfield Lucifer was laughibly bad. How far it's fallen since Mark Pellegrino's few appearances. And yet another episode where Lucifer doesn't kill Crowley or his mother. not that it would matter if he did, theyd just be back next episode. Nothing of any consequence happens on this show anymore. God tonight's was cheesy. The devil is now an aging rockstar that looks frighteningly similar to criss angel and Lucifer can be stopped by blackmailing Crowleys mum's dating life. Although credit where it's due...the scene with Sam and his mum at the end was not only the first time I've thought Jared wasn't a terrible actor (because he usually really is laughably bad when he tries to be dramatic); he was actually very good.

Last night's episode was good. Rick Springfield was oddly more menacing than Misha as Lucifer. The final scene between Sam and Mary was a tear jerker and something I never thought would happen, Sam meeting his mom. Not Mary Winchester from the past, but his mom.

Man, I am way behind on this. I stopped watching after the season 9 finale, due to lack of spare time, and never got it together to start watching again. Can someone tell me if it is still good?
