Jeffrey Dean Morgan is returning to Supernatural.
Entertainment Weekly has confirmed that twelve years after his death, John Winchester is all set to return for the series' landmark 300th episode, which is currently in production, and while details on his return are being kept under wraps for now, it's sure-to-be an epic hour as he reunites with his hunter sons Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles).
This episode could also mark the first time the original John and Mary Winchester (Samantha Smith) have shared the screen, in present-day, since the pilot, which would make the milestone episode even more memorable.
Co-showrunner Andrew Dabb expressed his excitement in a statement and also teased a number of other surprises. “We’re incredibly excited to have Jeffrey back for this milestone episode, and think fans will love what we have planned for his character… and a few other surprise guest stars.”
The 300th episode is titled "Lebanon" and will air on February 7 at 8 p.m. ET.

THE BEST LAID PLANS - Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) enlist the help of their pal Garth (guest star DJ Qualls) to gain inside information on what Michael may be planning. The brothers split up to each go after weapons that can aid in their fight against the Archangel, but this may be a fight our heroes cannot win. The episode was directed by Amyn Kaderali and written by Robert Berens (#1409). Original Airdate 12/13/2018.
