"There will be no new King of Hell.

With his big brother (Jensen Ackles) a prisoner in his own body, Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) really stepped up last night and made a sweeping declaration that the title formerly held by Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) and Crowley (Mark Sheppard) will be left vacant for the foreseeable future, which, while never explicitly stated, does essentially make him the new King of Hell.

Elsewhere, we also learned a little more about Michael's true intentions, which seem to involve recruiting monsters of all shapes and sizes to join his army and well, that's not good news for anyone. Meanwhile, the premiere also revealed that Nick - Lucifer's vessel for well over a decade - survived being stabbed by the archangel blade that killed Lucifer, which may or may not
be foreshadowing for what could happen to Michael down the line.

The sucky part about Michael using Dean's body as a vessel is that we don't get Dean until that's resolved. Dean is like the best part of the show. This season's premiere was definitely missing Dean's presence.

I really used to love this show, but now I'm really not sure I still watch it. Many shows become worse quite abruptly, you can tell after watching the first few episodes of a new season, then one day you realize said season was shit, and you stop watching. But with Supernatural, I feel like it's been going down very, very slowly for years, to the point where I've barely notice a change. Kinda like a relationship where you wonder why you're still together out of a sudden, and realize you should have asked yourself that question for years. I'm gonna give the new season a chance, but if it's still the same thing, I think I'm done.

So, with Lucifer being "killed" and the vessel (Nick) surviving, that just shows us that they will defeat Michael and Dean's vessel will survive.

Wondering if they end up going the route of Sam being the "new King of Hell" to go up against Dean Michael, especially since he gave us the line of "There will be NO new King of Hell"....

I mean, that's been the story from the beginning hasn't it? Both the Winchesters were the chosen vessels.

Gotta say, I'm not impressed with Dean being Michael so far. I know it's only been 1 episode, but it just didn't seem right. Crowley not being around sucks as well. Dean and Crowley are the reasons to watch. lol
