Thirteen seasons in and Supernatural continues to deliver the goods and tonight was no exception as the Winchester brothers dealt with the fallout from last season's season finale, which left Castiel dead and Mary trapped with Lucifer in another universe.

According to Entertainment Weekly, we'll find out about Castiel's fate in episode three, which will mark Misha Collins' first appearance of the season, and based on the new photos, it looks like we'll find out a lot more about what's going on with Mary and Lucifer in next week's hour. Meanwhile, Sam and Dean will continue to bond with Jack and learn more about what he's really capable of. Plus, we're introduced to another Prince of Hell and this one might be the worst of them all.

Check out the new promo and photos for episode two, titled "The Rising Son," below:

"The Rising Son" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

WHAT EVIL THIS WAY COMES... - Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) begin to explore what Jack (Alexander Calvert) is capable of doing with his powers. An unexpected visit from Donatello (guest star Keith Szarbajka) alerts the boys to the fact that Jack will need more protection than the Winchesters can provide. There is a new Prince of Hell in town, Asmodeus (guest star Jeffrey Vincent Parise), and with Lucifer (Mark Pellegrino) out of the picture, he sets his sights set on Jack. The episode was directed by Thomas J. Wright and written by Eugenie Ross-Leming & Brad Buckner (#1302). Original airdate 10/19/2017.

Such a great premiere! They kept it simple and it worked really well. Jensen Ackles turning in another incredible performance as usual with that prayer scene.

Also, I love how the first person Jack called his "Father" was Sam.

I haven't seen this show since season 8. How is it now? It just keeps going and going it seems. They've brought back Mary, Lucifer, my god just turning every stone over. Does the return of all these old characters feel organic, or like they've run out of ideas in the 13th hour and needed something? Only matter of time until JDM comes back.

I'm tired of people acting like Supernatural should have ended in season 5. Hack the opening with Metallica's Nothing else matters gave me chills. If you're fan you should continue watching it and stop with speculating. It's getting better by every season. Hope to see more Bobby and Rufus ☺😈
