Supernatural's final season claimed a pair of major casualties tonight as both Rowena (Ruth Connell) and Arthur Ketch (David Haydn-Jones) bid farewell to the Winchesters for the very last time.
While Ketch was killed by the demon Ardat (Sharon Taylor) fairly early on in the hour, Rowena got quite the emotional sendoff as she made the ultimate sacrifice in a last-ditch effort to save the world from the horde of demons released by God (Rob Benedict) himself and by the looks of it, her plan seems to have succeeded, which means Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) can get back to doing what they do best.
However, when they get back to action on November 7th to investigate a mysterious death, they won't have Castiel (Misha Collins) by their side as he - hopefully temporarily - parted ways with the brothers during the closing moments of tonight's episode.
