The CW is hoping that life will soon return to normal as they've become the first network to announce when new and returning TV shows will return to the air. On what have been the day of its upfront presentation in New York, The CW confirmed that its 2020/2021 season will kick off in January.

"The CW will start its new season in January 2021 when we will launch our regular primetime schedule," The CW President Mark Pedowitz told reporters during a press call today.

TV shows that would have run for 22 episodes had they premiered in October will still do so, with a "midseason" break planned for May. The final episodes of shows which didn't finish their seasons as normal this year will still be shot, but incorporated into their next seasons according to Pedowitz.

On the plus side, Supernatural's final seven episodes are now scheduled to be aired this fall.

The biggest takeaways here are that Superman & Lois and The Flash will share the same night, Walker, starring Jared Padalecki, will take Supernatural's place on Thursday, while Supergirl is being pushed to the midseason to accommodate the pregnancy of star Melissa Benoist.

Actually yeah, i'd rather have a Superman/Flash crossover!

The actress that plays Kate f*cking sucks just like the whole show but on the other hand Grant is actually a damn good actor.
Same for Melissa, she's also really good, especially in the first season.

Say it isn’t so. Could we possibly not have any new scripted shows on any network come the fall?

I can deal with this schedule. Guess it is for sure SG and Legends will air together later on.

Hopefully the 2022 schedule is better and they can all air simultaneously like it used to be.

I'm just looking forward to Flash, Superman, and Supernatural. I'm most excited for the last few episodes of Supernatural, I hope they can transition it to a comic book or maybe even a movie series down the line.
