A KILLER VIRUS — When Stefan tries to explain recent events to a very sick Elena, her first instinct is to call Damon. At the same time, Damon is trying to figure out how to make a disturbing confession to Elena. While going through Dr. Wes’ files, Caroline discovers a frightening secret, and is surprised when Enzo appears, claiming to have the solution everyone is searching for. At Enzo’s insistence, Caroline asks Stefan to meet her at a mysterious location where they are joined by a group of Travelers, including Sloan, who reveals new information on the importance of doppelgangers. During spring break on a mostly deserted Whitmore campus, Elena runs into Luke, a student who seems to know her, though she has no memory of meeting him. Recently dumped by his boyfriend, Luke proposes that he and Elena spend the break getting drunk together, but she sends him off on an urgent mission to find Bonnie and the “newbie” witch, Liv. Damon finally tells Elena the truth about his recent activities, and they come to a new agreement about their relationship.
As season five begins, Damon and Elena have spent a blissful summer in love, unaware that Silas is free and Stefan has been suffering agonizing pain every day for months. Damon believes Stefan is staying away because it would be too painful for him to see Damon and Elena as a couple, but Elena can’t escape the uneasy feeling that Stefan needs their help. While Elena is reluctant to leave Damon and Jeremy, she is also thrilled to be heading off to a new start at nearby Whitmore College with Caroline as her roommate. Still unaware that Bonnie is dead, Elena and Caroline are waiting for their friend to join them at college. Jeremy is the only one who can see and talk to Bonnie who is trapped on the Other Side. Caroline is also waiting impatiently for Tyler to return and join her at Whitmore. Matt and Rebekah have spent a wonderful summer traveling through Europe, and the newly cured Katherine is having a tough time adjusting to being human after 500 years as a vampire. Returning to town after months on the run, Katherine asks Damon to help her now that she is vulnerable to her many enemies. Although everyone in this tight-knit group of friends is trying to move on to a new and better phase of their lives, the past is always with them, and Silas is determined to use his powers and the secrets of dopplegangers to make sure no one remains unscathed.

The show isn't bad, you just have to take it for what it is: A soapy fantasy drama.

Like Arrow: soapy action drama.

True AlphaFlexXx, that's one supernatural show that should be on this site. But yeah, TVD is no different from the comics that we read. Just instead of mutants and meta humans, you have Vamps, Werewolves & Witches

@AlphaFlexXx I was wondering the same thing.

@TelaVizion

That's exactly what I think. TVD is not bad at all. The Originals is better, though and Teen Wolf is my favorite SPN show.

They're campy and soapy but they're also fun and the babes are hot.
