Ok first let me start off by saying, I have always, always loved the Tekken games. I have had everyone single game all the way up till Tekken 5! They have made a movie about it before that was really cheesy, so when I seen that they were making this one, I thought "Wow this is going to be great"!
Now straight to it. When you think of Tekken you think of the original fighters!
EX: Paul Phoenix, Nina and Anna Williams, King, Armor King, Ganryu, Heihachi Mishima, Jack, Kazuya Mishima, Kuma, Kunimitsu, Lee Chaolan, Marshall Law, Michelle Chang, Wang Jinrei, Yoshimitsu.
Now these are the orginal fighters from Tekken 1. Now does the movie do them justice??? Lets just say first off they used characters from more the just Tekken 1, but I wan to just leave those characters our right for right now. I must say they did the costumes justice and they did the characters justice by picking the right actors and actresses for the parts. The only originals in the movie are.
Paul Phoenix (only mentioned by name, never shown)
Nina and Anna Williams
Jack (multipul jacks, and not the big ones you remember)
Marshall Law
Heihachi Mishima
Kazuya Mishima
Yoshimitsu
Jun Kazama(can't remember if she was in Tekken 1)
Those are the only original characters..that really pissed me off too!!!
Now for the story line POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW
The world has gone to hell and Tekken is a buisness that is ran by Heihachi Mishima and his son Kazuya. They hold a tournement every year called Iron Fist. It's pretty awesome! Kazuya is a jealous son and wants to take over the company but his father does not think he's ready. Kazuya is head of security for Tekken and has made robots for guards called "Jacks" (here in lie your character Jack)
A tournement begins and I am making this fast, Jin Kazama joins after his mother is killed by being blown up from orders from Kazuya, Jin joins tourney by defeting Marshall Law in a fight in a cage, and then you hear Paul's name. Jin is in it to get revenge for his mother and wants to kill Heihachi. Jin fights good through his first couple fights, and even fights Yoshimitsu, and by the way he looks sweet!! Kazuya trys to have Jin killed after he realizes he is his son.
Kazuya finds out Jin is his son turns on Heihachi and tells him about Jin being his son. New tourney begins fights to the death. All in all they make Heihachi out to be a good guy, Kazuya has Heihachi killed by a "Jack" and even annonces he is dead. Now for my thoughts on that. Heihachi was never the good guy!! And never dies!! And he never has a fight scene. Also they make mention of a darker side of Kazuya! Lots of guns too!! Bryan Fury is the champ and freakin sweet looking!
All in all the movie had great fights and good action, opening was kind of slow but they made up for it!! Please just find it online and watch it!!
