It's a script written by George A. Romero for a Resident Evil movie!!

I've only had a quick skim through, but it sounds like this would have been the Resident Evil movie ANYONE who's played the games would prefer over that whole "Alice" storyline...




I'd love to know why the studio never went with this! I mean, a Romero zombie movie, based on one of the most succesful video game franchise's ever? It would have made big $$$$ I think...

yeah ive read the script years ago, and wondered why they didnt use it. it was a really good story and was really close to the first game.i hear they plan on remakeing the resident evil movies after the next one and it will be called resident evil begins. i will not be happy until they remake them more like the first game and make them scary and cut down on the action.

Sebz@ good find but i actually like the alice storyline, mixture of the game and some new things i thought it was great.

The first film was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!! The rest......meh.

well they have played the alice thing to death. its time to remake resident evil more like the first game for the horror fans that love it,not this action kick everyone been on.and your right anil rickly i want to see a sequel after underworl evolution,but i want to see a underworld begins or begining story that tells the story of william,marcus,corvinus,and why victor has a strong hatred for the lycans.and a sequel in between rise of the lycans and underworld 1 would be nice so we can fill in the holes of the films.

and if they remake resident evil and do it like the first video game it can lead into part two and they can have a kick ass nemesis instead of that wuss they used,and leon can come forward.

Heard about the script thing a while ago. The studio and that self absorbed bastard of a director should have used george's script. The movie would have been awesome and memorable. Instead we go stuck with a sh*tty movie and sh*tty sequels to a sh*tty movie

I remember reading about this back in 99 in some game magazine I was so excited then when the movie actually came out all those years later i was depressed.

quick note did you know that originally Alice was Jill, there is even a movie mistake where Rain (Michelle Rodriguez) calls her Jill, It's during the scene when she wants Alice to cut her head off so she doesn't turn.

the exact line is "do it Jill...DO IT!!!"

Read it a while back. I think its the Godfather compared to the [frick] we have nowadays. Damn you Anderson. DAMN YOU TO HELL!!!!!

They should've done this... it would have been much better than the sh*t movies they have out now... except for the fantastic CGI one (which actually is part of the main series/games).
