THIS is how you Sonic: in advance of San Diego Comic Con, Archie Comics have announced a new ongoing title in the form of Sonic Boom. It will be written by Sonic and Mega Man veteran Ian Flynn. Fret not if you're behind on Sonic comics because this title will consist of standalone stories.
"The Sonic Boom comic takes place within a new branch of the Sonic Universe that, in addition to the games Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric for Wii U and Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal for Nintendo 3DS, will include a first-ever CG-animated TV series on Cartoon Network! The comic stories are stand-alone adventures packed with all the action and comedy of the Sonic Boom global initiative," editor Paul Kaminski told IGN.
Stay tuned for more news coming out of SDCC next week and enjoy a look at the first cover above. Sonic Boom will hit shelves in October. In the meantime, pick up a copy of Sonic The Hedgehog or Sonic Universe if you need your fix.
