What do you think? I really like this one a heck of a lot more. And I think it is time to do a re-boot of another video game movie if you know what I mean.

Honestly, it looks awful.
I saw some of the footage. hell, I think the best one might be better even..

Oh god... They gave Bison a beard on top of keeping the actor's hair blond??? Well i certainly hope the next Superman movie will have a yellow suit, a pink cape and a bald head!!! And how bout a kilt instead of the panties???

Jean-Claude Van Damme's movie was shit on a stick but was way more accurate than this!

And have you even seen the trailer? Vega's this asian teeny weeny excuse of a villain. He has no presence, no posture, no elegance, he basically isn't vega, he's just a panzy with a mask and claws.

WOW this movie is gonna suck, the guy that is in the group that sings fergilicious is VEGA, OZ from american pie is nash and the greenmile guy is balrog WOW what a flop, the only good thing is Kristin Kreuk with the buns cant wait a dream come true lol

Robin Shou couldn't save this movie even if it meant saving his own life! His best performance was as Liu Kang and it's not even worth the mention. They needed Donnie Yen for that role! And as for Taboo as Vega, it looks like (in the trailer) they put an asian guy to do the fighting and stunts which doesn't give much credit to Taboo because i'm pretty sure he won't have that many lines in the movie.

As fans we should boycott films that are going to be shit in order to discourage filmakers from producing these trainwrecks. If anyone does go and see the movie (i wont be), do the decent thing and post a review.

The poster actualy looks decent, you guys cry too much over nothing, not all movies has be a big hit, it looks way better than the 1st one, and they fixed the 1st one main problem, adding too much characters to please the stupid fans (you) and by doing it not developing any character, ruining everything.

btw, boycott ? because you are a 'fan' ? dont make yourself look stupid please.

Although i do agree that there was way to many characters in the first one, the storyline was kinda tweeked to try and deal with that problem. The characters at least we're very much like the game... except for Sagat. Ken and Ryu could have been better but mostly they kept the look very similar. Even though i do agree that having less charaters is better, they should've at least kept them similar to the source material. There's really no excuse for that. And i'm not gonna boycott it cause i think it sucks, i'm boycotting it cause i think it's not worth 10$ to see. It sounds the same but is more geared towards self economy than punishment.

This is for **Doritos**,Come on man,I need you to wake up and smell the coffee. When they made Mortal Kombat into a movie, it was coo…..even the 2nd one can get a green light by me. But the way they are making this movie is just terrible (just like the first one), and I need you to see that. I mean the main character is Chun-Li???? Out of all the characters to chose from (Blanka, Ryu, Ken, Zangief, E.Honda, Dhalsim, Balrog*boxer my fav.* ect.) Come on Doritos get it together!

This poster is shyte. That frame thing with the villains is crappy and it should have been behind Chun-Li. They could have tried to make Kreuk look more Asian. I have no problem with M.C.Duncan being Balrog but everyone else seems miscast.

It's been said a thousand times and i'll say it again they should have started the franchise with Ryu and Ken, and maybe thrown in Akuma and Sagat as villains. Most likely this will suck but, i'll still watch it.

If its bad hopefully other studios, directors and script writers will learn what not to do. If doesn't suck good for them.

This poster looks like shit, really really bad, I mean the framing of the faces is terrible (not only the photoshop editing of them, but the whole composition looks unbalanced), there are too many different elements (the scroll look, the chinese simbols, the pictures, the modern day font for the title, etc, etc).

From my point of view there is no designing element that sticks everything together, so not only is it poorly made, there is no concept. I can officially state that the poster is shit, and yes this movie along with DBE will definitely compete for the worst movie of 2009.

why does everyone think that the first movie should be about Ryu and Ken, yeah they are the most popular but in story wise Chun Li is the basic setup for the series, she was the first person Bison wronged and the first to want to seek vengeance.

During that time was when Bison started the Shadaloo operations and becomes a dictator, killing Charlie making Guile want vengeance, Chun Li then Recruits Guile when she joins Interpol.

Ryu and Ken really have nothing to do with Bison, they just kinda get dragged into the fight. Ryu gets dragged in while trying to get stronger to deal with Akuma and Ken gets dragged in due to Ryu's involvement.

So to Bigdez the only two ppl you listed that are even a quarter important are Ryu and Ken. Chun Li and Guile are technically the main ppl of the story revolving around Bison, Balrog is just an enforcer like Vega and Sagat. there is a massive back story to the games and if you haven't played through them all w/ all characters then there is a lot you wouldn't know.

Osiris, we say the first movie should be about Ken and Ryu because... it should. It's called street fighter "alpha" (meaning the begining). Where you have Ken and Ryu at their begining fighting Akuma cause he killed they're master. That SHOULD be the FIRST movie. Then you bring in Chun-Li's origins and link in ken and Ryu because quite frankly Bison doesn't give a shit about Chun-Li. Bison wants Ryu while Chun-Li teams up with Guile to team attack his ass. That plot would be "street fighter 2". That's how it SHOULD be.

I'm not saying this movie is going to be awesome or anything bigdez I'm just stating that chun li is a good starting point. @ Shaman this movie isn't called SF Alpha is just called street fighter, and i know bison doesn't give a shit about chun li because he doesn't give a shit about anyone only his own ambitions, but Chun Li was the first person to stand up to him in the story line of the games.

the first Alpha game wasn't just about Ryu and Ken they actually had the least amount of story in that game and Ryu and Ken don't fight Akuma in the first game, Ken fights Ryu and Ryu fights Sagat. Ryu doesn't fight Akuma till the second game. i think they are using Bison for this movie because he is basically the main bad guy of the series and most fans know it that way, most didn't even know who Akuma was till recently. and Chun Li was the first of the main ppl of SF2 to go against Bison so that is why she is the main character of this movie.

and also it's an adaptation nothing is ever going to be perfect, i am a huge SF fan and i am going to still give this movie a shot and if it sux it sux but im not going to bitch about minor petty little things that wont matter any, because it is only an adaptation if i want the real story i will play the games, i like to see other ppls take on things.

Actually they ARE in the process of releasing a new street fighter... and it looks like a pretty sweet game. I read about it in Game Informer last month.

There isnt gonna be a street fighter or dragonball sequal because these movies are gonna suck, that means great characters like ryu and ken even guile or vegeta and cell wont ever see the light of day because they get characters like stiffler's friend who was only good for 2 american pie movies for street fighter and tom cruises son for dragonball.

This sucks.

Well thing is that the story line in the games aren't even accurate in the characters storylines. You can't go by the games because some are prequels and some are sequels all mixed up with not much continuity. And if you wanna talk about the games as basis, how could it even be possible for Bison to know anything about Ryu before he becomes a known fighter? It is only logical for Ryu AND Ken to go after Akuma for killing they're master and THEN having Bison learn of their existance. That's pretty much what CAPCOM themselves used as continuity in the animated movies.

haha you know maybe tou are very right, if in fact the studios HAVE A SOLID SLATE PLAN to launch a series, then it wouldn´t matter that the first one of a series wouldn´t be a hit, BECAUSE THEY WOULD STICK to their plan..
...but reality is as you said. If KK´s Chun Li doesn´t drag like $50 million then Ryu and Ken will have to wait...in the dvds and game consoles for a whiiiiiiiile. hehe

Hell, even an already confirmed script and project like X Men Origins Magneto HAS TO WAIT until see how X O: Wolverine does in the money in order to be made, then imagine the odds for a Street Figther 2 or 3 if Chun Li flops...
