Shit graphics.

So;
- The graphics look about as good as the first from 2012... so not really much of an improvement. Seen PS2 graphics that are better than this, lots of glitch lighting errors in the Uncle Ben opening mission.
- The story is back to the vigilante justice plotline dropped from the first film. In addition it seems to be the focus of the story revolves around discovering Uncle Ben's killer making Spider-man seem like an asshole when he runs into thugs at 5:42 and just says "That's not the guy I'm after" and only stops them after they attack him.
- The Webs sticking to buildings prevents you from webslinging above the height of the tallest building in the area... however if you are above buildings the web shoots down and propels you upwards. In addition it can stop you from going further in mid-flight and cause you to drop as seen at 5:35
- The cut scenes are idiotic as shown at 13:43 where Spider-man doesn't move and the guy still cant hit him with bullets...

Could go on... but put simply... this game isn't even worth my comment.

I just preordered it yesterday. I didn't want to spend too much on PS4 games until they drop prices a bit, but screw that. This'll be my fourth PS4 game.

I can still remember playing the first Spider-Man movie tie in game back in 2002 it was the best B-Day present ever. Then Spider-Man 2 came out years later and I had to WATCH my next-door neighbor beat the entire game! The horror!!!!

That webswinging looks like shit... It looks like it's almost on rails or something...

*sigh*

I guess I'll have to wait for the next one. Maybe eventually Beenox will figure out how to make a good Spider-Man game... And maybe eventually Marvel will figure out how to get good studios to make their games...

I mean, the official Iron Man 3 movie tie-in game is basically an infinite runner with microtransactions?! At this point, I'd be happy with a retro 32-bit sidescroller in the style X-Men: Clone Wars meets Mark of the Ninja...

Get off your ass, Marvel. This would be a hell of a lot more fun than that shitty Diablo-lite MMO garbage. (I'd even accept microtransations, if it meant a few dozen playable characters.)

The first game wasn't bad at all from what little I can remember. Was full of references to Spider-Man mythos and featured plenty of characters. Also, it had nice graphics. The only thing that I can remember disliking is the voice acting.

I certainly preferred the game versions of Rhino and I hope if they ever do Scorpion in a film with Vulture, they do what the game did.

*sigh*

Shame this film series is wasting some of it's potential in certain areas. I personally wish they had Harry and Norman in from the get go.

With the Italian music in the background! Haha such good memories!
That game even had slo-mo combos for spider sense. And was the first one with free web swinging... Man.
I think I'll reconnect my GameCube.

The games streets look populated which i awesome.

Also there is a full game walkthrough on youtube so 12 minutes of gameplay isnt too amazing.

Game looks prety fun in motion

The best part of Spider-Man 2 was hanging people off of light posts and kicking them around

Yes. I remember it being great, but that might be nostalgia.

Another thing I always did was grabbing live thugs, charge and toss them far! Then start sprinting toward the flying thug while charging jump. Then I would release everything and mAke Spidey "dive". Then I would throw the web bomb to the thug in mid air so he would fall webbed and standing before he touched the ground haha.
Good times.

You know, I'm not really sure what people are expecting outta these spidey games by Beenox. We've seen and played (in my case) all of their spidey games; where in the hell does it make sense to get as big a "jump" as people want from these spiderman games?

Beenox doesn't strike me as another rocksteady. It is Obvious that their budget is not on the same level as other AAA title making developers. They probably have time restraints, staff restraints, money etc. People act like this is rocksteady or naughty dog creating a half ass game; Beenox is just not on the same level, because they probably can't be.

Also, this game was never advertised as "the next generation" of Spidey games. This is obviously made for current gen and then ported over to the next. The promise they made was to make nearly every aspect of the first TASM Better. And it certainly seems so, graphics be damned. They're not out to make the best looking game, just the most fun spidey game they Can.

For all the missteps they've taken with their spidey games, they've done a lot more right.

Take a step back. No one can do anything for you when you're standing on their chest.
