PACIFIC RIM: UPRISING Star Scott Eastwood Wants To Become The New WOLVERINE

Hugh Jackman hung up his claws after starring in Logan and it now remains to be seen when Fox will bring Wolverine back to the big screen. It probably won't be for a while yet but the studio will no doubt cast a younger actor to take on the role when they do decide to move forward with a fresh take on the iconic member of the X-Men. So, how about up and coming Pacific Rim: Uprising star Scott Eastwood?

The son of Clint Eastwood (who many fans would have loved to see play Old Man Logan) is very much rising up the ranks of Hollywood and has now made it clear he fancies taking on the role of Wolverine.

After the Pacific Rim: Uprising panel at the New York Comic-Con yesterday, the Suicide Squad actor was quizzed about whether or not he'd be interested in a superhero role and immediately answered: "Weapon X. I mean Logan! You gotta give it to Wolverine! Wolverine, all day." He certainly has the right look and intensity for the role and is the right age to take on the character for years to come.

How would you feel about Scott playing Logan in a future Marvel movie now Jackman is done with the role? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on this news in the comments section below.

@TheBigkahuna - Yeah, I hope they have the guts to cast someone shorter who isn't a pretty boy.

@Griela - yea tom hardy is the perfect choice but I also like ben foster. He has grit. Statham is a British version of Logan. karl judge dredd urban would be my A1 pick.

I admit that pick was pretty convincing hair alone. Well done writer.

Good looking dude but a bit too generic. Haven't seen anything he was in that impresses me so I'll probably have to say pass.

The next actor to play the Wolverine has some big shoes to fill.

Like almost all others I see a young Clint Eastwood with no charisma, needs to learn his trade more, its a shame because he's a good fit for the role looks wise but almost zero talent...

Mclaneinc - 10/7/2017, 4:32 AM
@Mclaneinc - Also he's already got a huge act to follow in his Dad let alone Hugh Jackman so strapping him in to a Western early on was counter productive..

Not sure about him, I initially wanted tom Hardy, but now he is Venom, maybe Shawn ferris will be better choice in this case

No. Eastwood has little to no presence, and has shown essentially no range. Jackman was singing Oklahoma! and then his first American film was X-Men. Start showing more range or you'll just be as wishful a thinker as Tyrese Gibson.

Well Wolverine was somewhat based on Clint Eastwood, so i'm down for this. I just don't think Fox is ever gonna give me the Wolverine that i want. So i suppose i don't really care who gets to snikt next.
