Darren Aronofsky to Not Direct Wolverine! Sandman?

Darren Aronofsky to Not Direct Wolverine! Sandman?

Happy as I am? What comic book movie will Aron of the Sky direct instead? Sandman?

Thank god! I knew it! Darren Aronofsky has put himself in a great position whatever movie he makes now will be good, and there is no reason to waste a good movie on Hugh Jackman and Wolverine Suck 2. I am so pleased! The weakest of Aronofsky's films, The Fountain, also happens to star our superhero friend Jack-Man. I also question the integrity of destroying the first film, which although extremely terrible and i hated it, it had a loyal fan base, and had heavy support until it was off the dvd racks. And those loyal fans were completely ignored when four movie wolverine franchise star Jack-Man denounced the first film. It was all forgotten about when Aron of the Sky stepped in the picture, but without him, wolverine 2 will quickly sink, the good directors are busy.

There is more to Aronofsky's decision than being "away from his family for too long." He is not making the Wolverine because it is a terrible move for his current success (sure if he could have shat it out in a couple months it might have been okay). Superman would have been a good film for him to make and have ownership of, so I bet he finds something else in the comic book world. I believe this was also part of the back out, that Aron of the Sky has found another comic project that puts wolverine 2 to shame. I am guessing it is Neil Gaiman's Sandman. The Sandman might be exactly it, it is a very Aronofskyish story. Recent news has been leaning away from a movie and towards a TV series for the Sandman. In the past week the series was canceled and then "reawakened". Perhaps it was canceled as a TV show and reawakened as a film. Or could it be something else maybe, any guesses of another comic book franchise he might grab on to, that has not been touched?

And I just want to add, although I eventually came to terms with Aronofsky's decision, in my heart's heart I really had lost some faith in the director who I have come to respect, and was blown away by his tight wonderful film Black Swan. Faith regained! Truly a Saint Patrick's Day Miracle, so get your green on!

NO, I don't give [frick] if it's Nolan or Aronofsky some things are meant to be left alone. So no he shouldn't direct Sandman no one should. Just leave it alone for god's sake.

and I am pretty sure Aronofsky was in full control of the Wolverine or he would have never even considered doing it,no matter how good of a friend jackman is to him.

uh, i don't know if it is unclear. i think aronofsky would have made wolverine a great movie, and yes because he has full control. but it would have been a waste of his talent, a waste of the full control he has earned.

If FOX had gotten their meddling mitts anywhere near Aronofsky's Wolverine pie it would have fricked up whatever Aronofsky was going to do. He's a director you give full creative control to. This could have been epic and I'm gutted to see him walk away....I mean, hideously gutted. Id have got Snyder to get his slow-mo camera out for this one but he's busy across town with that skally wag Nolan ejaculating genius into Supes. This could have been a real break from the norm when it comes to the Superhero movie. Anyone who can get Portman and Kunis to Lez-off deserves to do whatever the Frick he wants!
