Hugh Jackman Shows New Look For THE WOLVERINE; Comments On Filming In Kurnell

Once again thanking Sutherland Shire for allowing Fox to film his X-Men: Origins sequel, The Wolverine, actor Hugh Jackman displayed his new look, facially, for the film sans the unbreakable claws. Also sharing with the Leader a downside to playing the mutant, in regards to filming, check out the photos and what he says below.

Dressed & made up as his character Logan, the actor personally thanked mayor Carol Provan:

“It’s a beautiful spot here. This is the first time I’ve been to Kurnell and the location is great. Yesterday I was up at half past three and this morning I was up at quarter to five. They got to do some shots without me this morning, so I got a bit of a sleep in. This is the second and final day of shooting on-site at Kurnell. Production for the film will continue around Sydney and a few weeks in Japan before it wraps up mid-November.”

Starring Hugh Jackman, Hiroyuki Sanada, Tao Okamoto, Rila Fukushima, Will Yun Lee, Brian Tee and Svetlana Khodchenkova, directed by James Mangold, The Wolverine is scheduled to be released on July 26, 2013.

@MrCool210 how does it "look cool" he looks the same.

Happy about the Japan story line (my favorite wolvy story) but I'm ready for a shorter, stockier, more comic book accurate looking actor to take on the role.

Somebody get Tom Hardy in this role. He can beef up and is only like 5' 9" / 5' 10". If he hunches a little like Logan it'd be perfect.

i kinda prefer the hair he had in the X-Men movies but they could've increased the height of them. its definetly a new hairstyle for logan

If the timeline is WW2 it stands to reason that his hair would be military short, right...?

I'm wondering if Origins counts now cause if its ww2 then that means its a prequel to Origins which had flashbacks of ww2 in which he had much longer hair...ugh. I hate this xmen universe now

valmic - 8/2/2012, 12:20 AM
I want to see Wolverine from the first Xmen movie where he was all animalistic and his mutton chops were alot longer and made him look alot scruffier and more like an animal.

Jackman is a cool mo-fo...makes a great Logan.
It matters not two shits how tall he is,guy is a good actor & is in great shape.
Tom Hardy wasn't big enough for Bane but he pulled it off.
Jackman likes the character of Wolverine & likes the fans of Wolverine.

Hm maybe just a. Bit longer.. Doesn't really look like wolverine more like Hugh lol but I'll have to see how it looks on film first to decide if I really like it or not

I cannot see any of the pictures posted that's why i was angry.

I agree with the others. Jackman is really dedicated to Wolverine. He loves the character.

TheDARKestKNIGHT - 8/2/2012, 12:28 AM
Ok let's be clear Tom Hardy DID NOT pull off bane. The way they kept the camera close to not show his height or the way they did certain shots to make him look taller than others was SO obvious!

Cool. Makes me think I look good with my current Wolvie Hair-Do, lol.

So it's confirmed, this is indeed a "sequel" to Origins? Such as shame. I mean, they should've went a '89 Batman route and not make it tied to anything, not independant, but isolated, I guess. Oh well, it's [frick]ing Wolverine, I'm sure they'll make him heal in a split second and have the ability to not die (BTW, thank [frick] you Quesada), but come on, IT'S WOLVERINE!

Dafuq, is wrong with his hair???? ... Fox needs too give this back too Marvel!!!

@JayOh
Why wouldn't they use camera techniques & angles to make Hardy look more imposing as Bane..big deal,it worked!

Obviously a huge muscled up tall guy would be a good physical match for Bane..but after seeing the film,Hardy pulled it off or the camera pulled it off..whatever,it worked!

The same applies to Jackman when he got cast he was a tall, lean guy not a short muscular guy like Logan from the comics..so what,he pulled it off. He's the best at what he does!

New look with shorter hair looks just fine. He's a great actor and has done a great job as Logan.
