The trailer for James Mangold's Logan presented a very different take on everyone's favorite clawed X-Man. Despite being inspired by the Old Man Logan comic book storyline, Logan is shaping up as much more down-to-earth, intimate exploration of Wolverine in what looks to be his final days. In the latest issue of Empire, Mangold said that his intention was to make a much more human film, as opposed to the spectacle found in previous installments of the X-Men franchise. “The goal was to make something human,” he said. “We made an effort to scale back on the gloss and greenscreen.”

Hugh Jackman agreed with the director, further explaining that the most important part of the film is exploring Logan's legacy and whether or not he has made a difference during his life. "It's essential you see this as the story of a man who is struggling with mortality and legacy," the actor tells us, "and whether the world has been better off with him or without him."

These sentiments certainly line up with the second page of Mangold's script, which notes “if you’re on the make for a hyper choreographed, gravity defying, city-block destroying CG [frick]athon, this ain’t your movie.” Are you looking forward to this new (and probably final) take on Jackman's Wolverine? Let us know in the comments!

Logan stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Richard E. Grant, Boyd Holbrook, Stephen Merchant, Dafne Keen, Eriq La Salle, Elise Neal, and Elizabeth Rodriguez. The final Wolverine movie is set to claw its way into theaters on March 3, 2017.

@SuperCat - Well looking back at the Wolverine, the campy third act was the only issues I had, so hopefully this will improve that one issue and give Hugh the best send off any Superhero Film Hero will get

I'm looking forward to Hugh Jackmans post Wolverine career. For someone so multi talented, he could have had a very different career.
Would like to see him play something similar to his role in Prestige.
What does everyone else think he'll do next?
Maybe a biography of someone?
