BlackOnyx1 - 3/25/2009, 8:01 AM
oh yeah this is looking much better now, all the previews were the same! I like that there showing more of the war scenes. So was this made clear yet? Did wolverine actually have claws before the weapon x thing? Cause I really didn't know that.

That looks awesome! Something different for once, not just the same clips in a different order. Sweet!

BlackOnyx1 - Yes he had bone claws from the start.

@BlackOnyx1, yeah...Wolvie had 'em before the weapon X program, they were bone though, but he had them none the less, and yeah...the vide was awesome, I'm really excited for this movie

BlackOnyx1- yea wolverines claws maifested when he was a child..which if u seen all the trailers u can actuali see that aswel...and when he was in weapon x they only coated his skeleton with adimantium they didnt 'give' him claws just made them 'shiny' (in the words of sabertooth) but sayin that x2 kinda contradicts this movie a lil if u remember stryker saying to logan that he was alreadi an animal he only gave him claws..which differs from this movie because we see that wolverine alreadi had bone-like claws to begin with..ha see only true geeks can spot that looool

MarkCassidy - 3/25/2009, 8:49 AM
Well, it can be taken as meaning "I gave you NEW claws"..i mean he extended them with the metal by a good few inches so ill assume thats what he meant!

grif....you truly are annoying.

This movie does look like it has the makings to be quite spectacular - despite the tools that always have to be negative about everything...cause Emo is the new pink.

I just hope they stick to the source material as much as possible.

woo those bone claws look sweet, reminds of his comics when magneto almost ripped all the adamantum out of him and he has to use his bone claws, they would contantly break on him ooo good stuff.

I agree Ror. What Stryker said in X2 does contradict things if taken literally. He could have just meant "new" claws or have meant it purely as a figure of speech as he made Wolverine a much more deadly person than he was.

I've come to the conclusion that "Grif" is also either; Rorschach01, Shaman or TheMyth. More often than not those guys have the best ideas and most interesting comments so I think one of them cooked up this "Grif" to vent out stupidity and have a laugh!

this was great. great, great, great. i always knew this was going to be the good part of the movie, i'm still worried about the end. but i promise this will be the best outta the xmen movies. and to all of you deadpool fans, i just got the messiah war one shot, he's looking good. x force is by far the best book i'm reading right now. smolo love the full metal jacket quote.

easy!! you just don't lead'em so much! ain't war hell!!!

Well, if you remember in the same scene, Xavier says "How long has it been Logan? Moving from place to place..with no memory of your past" That didnt clear it up no?

Howlett04 you got me man! I am Grif! lol, thanks for the compliment but if i was going to create a secret identity on here it would be a hell of a lot more annoying than the grifster...i would be supermike annoying!

after the events of the weapon x program, wolverine's memory, as well as sabretooth's it wiped. remember in the x men movies when he says he only remembers the last 15 years of his life and nothing before?

Now, THATS WHAT I'M TALKIN BOUT!!!!!!!!! Everyone needs to forget about Deadpool and embrace the fact that we will finally get some onscreen answers about Wolverine and Creed's past. My faith has been renewed.

Sabertooth looks shorter than Wolverine
ThunderCougarFalconBird
ThunderCougarFalconBird - 3/25/2009, 3:59 PM
bodykount80 - no offense but have you been living in a cave on mars with your eyes shut and your fingers in your ears for the 3 months?

That ship sailed long ago mate. Yes he's a bit too short for Sabertooth, but he seems to have the character portrayed very well. It's the same thing for Hugh, he's too tall for Wolverine but has the essence right there so no one complains.

i said it before and i'm saying it again, i have a strong feeling that sabertooth is going to blow everyone away. i understand he is short, but i don't know that many good 6 foot 8 actors that weigh about 400lbs. as the same as actors 5 foot and some change to play wolvie. i think liev is going to kill it. that shot of him in this trailer shooting from the helicopter, wolverine telling him to stand down. he will be the sabertooth that i love. and i love the look, he reminds me of sabe when he first appeared in iron fist and the first few runs in the xmen. better than that long ass eye brow shit hobo look in the first movie. and his costume they could do, the old school one. and they never said he didn't know him in the first movie. he made a comment after prof x said some shit but he also knew to pop the claws when he smelt him, and sabe grabbed the dog tags off of magneto's desk. who want what, putas!!

this movie is going to kick ass. like the article that roschach had on his fan site (shout out to fan sites), hugh said wolvie has about 10 main battles, and if you look at the trailers, every time him and sabe are fighting, they are in different scenes. i bet they throw down at least 6 times. everything is gonna be good, until deadx18675309....and that still might not mess up the movie.

loelife, i agree completely with you. Liev has the full look of what I think Sabretooth should be. That hairy guy from X1 looked dumb as shit, and portrayed the character as lame as [frick]!
at first i was hesitant about his hair color, and i could stand to have him a little taller, but i believe that he will carry out the essence of sabretooth in his acting, and thats all that counts!! plus, his face (with those massive burns) just look great as Sabretooth. Any truer characteristics would just look stupid.

This movie is going to rock, I am most excited for this of any other movie coming out that i am aware of!

from the looks of that commercial i couldve watched a movie of just Sabertooth vs. wolverine and not missed the others at all. That was cool.

Awesome pic..and i too think it would have been just as good if not better just focusing on those 2 bruisers..they others could have popped up briefly but it should have ended with the 2 of them fighting. Fox felt they needed a big end of level boss for Wolvie to slice n dice so we have Deadfool at the end now

On an unrelated note, is Dominic Monoghan really playing Beak? I read of Yahoo movies that he's playing a character called Bolt, and I recall a character from the comics called Bolt who was David North's protege.

i doubt it, frank, otherwise we'd have at least have seen a glance of him in the trailers, but we haven't...

and also, i just want to say that this trailer is awesome. i keep on watching it and i am so excited for this movie to finally come out. i'm suprised that its still unrated--i'm sure its not PG, and it shouldn't be R, it seems common sense that its PG13--whats the hold up then?!
loelife
loelife - 3/26/2009, 11:12 PM
a lot of times when movies take this long to be rated can be a bad thing or a good thing. the reason behind it is, they don't want to give it an r rating. so the people come in and say, take this and that out, and it will be pg 13. or they are trying to figure out if it is a pg 13 or just a soft r. so, in this case, it is a good thing. this means that there is enough good wolverine fight, blood stuff, and they are bit by bit toning it down to make it a pg 13 rating. a good example is congo. the movie was alright, but it was a strong pg 13. you had monkey f ing people up and the f bomb was dropped in the movie too. so this is a very good thing for this movie, because like me and all of my peoples on this web site know, you can only make a good wolverine movie if it is rated r.
just wait til the unrated dvd. i bet there is going to be a lot of great action shit cut out

But we did, Jeremy, get a glance, I mean. In the third TV spot called "Legends", you saw him for a second or in a group shot with the other members of Weapon X.
