X-Men Origins: Wolverine Sequel to Include “Wolverina”

Director Gavin Hood announced that Jessica Biel would be playing the role of Wolverine’s feral daughter in the sequel.

UPDATE: 4/2 - If you haven't figured it out yet, this was an April Fool's Day fake story.

Award-winning director Gavin Hood (Tsotsi) has been lauded for his approach to Marvel’s furry mutant in the upcoming X-Men Origins: Wolverine film. However, last night’s announcement that Hood had been hired on to direct the sequel caused an Internet furor because of his comments about bringing in Jessica Biel (7th Heaven) to play Logan’s long-lost daughter, “Wolverina.”



Hood said:

“So, this character, this feral girl, is something that Logan left behind…(Jessica’s) got great instincts and would really be able to flesh out the character.”

Not only is the name of the character terrible, but there is no such character in the Marvel lexicon, which has fans pulling out their hair in frustration. It has been suggested that Wolverina may be partially based upon the Marvel Comics character X-23 an alternate-reality clone of Wolverine.

..Jessica Biel is so hot. Is there actually even a character called Wolverina =[. I know this has to be an april fools joke but there isn't actually a character called Wolverina is there. Ima pimpslap Marvel if there is.

i checked the site and i don't know if this is real or not. and she is something special but i don't see her as playing x 23. i don't know who, someone younger. i think that chick from icarly on nick, if she can act, would be good. but they would have to put distance between the characters, not make her another wolverine. and i don't think fox knows anything about character after watching the chopped and screwed version of the damn movie.

but damn again, jessica's special. it's even better that my comment is posted under betty pic so i can look at it the whole time i'm typing.

Biel is mega hot but I definitely don't think they should include X-23 in the next movie. What they should do is do the Wolverine "Japan story". They should blend together Frank Miller's seminal Wolverine limited series which almost single handedly put Wolverine on the map as a cool superhero with the also good Wolverine and Kitty Pride series.

You guys! There IS a Marvel Character named WOLVERINA!!! She's a parody of Wolverine in the WHAT THE-? Comedy comic series! She was part of the Infinity Wart Crossover issue! I actually have that in my collection! (I miss What The?, It had it's moments. lol)

In Avengers Next timeline, Wolverine and Psylocke did have a daughter but i forgot her name though... but if this is what Wolverine 2's story is gonna be, dammmmnnn.. more stupid plots to come!
