It seems that previous rumors which indicated actor Ben Foster may have been playing the role of Angel in X-Men 3 are actually true. Foster has appeared in such films as 2004's The Punisher and this year's Hostage with Bruce Willis. After numerous other actors were rumored for the part such as David Anders, T3's Nick Stahl, and Mike Vogel the slot has finally been filled.
The news was confirmed earlier today by Variety as Foster joins returning cast members Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Famke Janssen, along with fresh additions Kelsey Grammer and Vinnie Jones in the third X-Men installment. The movie, which is written by Simon Kinberg and Zak Penn is being directed by 'Rush Hour' director Brett Ratner.
X3 will open in theaters everywhere on May 26, 2006.
