Jennifer Lawrence, who will play Mystique in the upcoming Matthew Vaughn directed movie from Fox, has let slip what many of us suspected after seeing some recently taken arial set photos - that Jekyll Island in Georgia will be the home of some exciting action sequences! Here's what she had to say:

In contrast to "Winter's Bone" — a gritty independent drama — your current project is a major studio action flick. How has filming for "X-Men: First Class" treated you? And what's next?

"X-Men" is going great. We're now in Georgia doing all the battle sequences, so that's fun. To be honest, when I wrap I'm mostly focused on sleeping or eating. So I haven't been too focused on what's next — I'm mostly just focused on sleeping and eating."

So, what could those battle sequences be I wonder? We've already seen the pictures of what appears to be a destroyed Blackbird (the X-Men's iconic jet) but whose responisble? Magneto and his Brotherhood of Evil Mutants? Sentinels? The Hellfire Club? Speculate below in the usual place!

X-Men: First Class is set to be released on June 17, 2011!

I would scratch Sentinals off the list for sure. This film is supposedly following the original "emergence" of mutants. If so, there would have been no need to construct Sentinals to deal with the Mutant Threat that nobody is aware of.

My sister's boyfriend is an extra there-I will have to get the details this weekend about what all is going on. He is playing a police officer in the movie and says that they wrap up this Tuesday.

Well this Jeykll Island shoot sounds huge! Probably the X-Kids vs. Hellfire Club, which sounds pretty freakin' epic!

Can't wait to see some pictures and a trailer for this!

I'm one of the biggest haters of both Fox and this movie on CBM. As if I'm stupid enough to think that they'd ever do something that the fans want to see like Sentinels! :P And even if they did, it would be their own twisted version that craps all over the comic books. It's wishful thinking, nothing more. This final battle will probably be another big let down just like in the past films. Bryan Singer was so incompetent a director, he only ever gave us "Wolverine vs." and I honestly can't remember seeing the X-Men fighting as a team! Vaughn is a better director, that makes zero difference when it comes to Fox. This WILL be a bad comic book movie...I guarantee it!

Guys, check out my Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D Fan Cast! Just click the link! :)

Why would anyone with a brain think that Sentinels are in this movie since, you know, this takes place before mutants were known to humans. Them being in it makes zero sense.

supert: Neither does having an Emma Frost whose older than she was in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (a movie set 10+ years later) make any sense. Nothing about this movie makes any. But that's Fox for you!

Hehe, glad you got it Intruder! ;D Kind of like how I used the work "prequel" in the teaser when I meant "idiotic mess". Hell, any Fox related article I do will be littered with hidden insults. Because I care.

You do realize that this movie is ignoring everything that happened in Origins and only focuses on the continuity in X-Men 1 and X2 (X3 loosely)? So with that in mind, Emma Frost being in it makes perfect sense, especially now since Singer and Vaughn both had her in their original versions of X-Men 3 (as an older version potentially played by Sigourney Weaver) before they both walked away from the project?

With all the information in mind, as well as what else has also been told, the movie makes perfect since beinga pre-quel to the first two-three directed by Singer.

I am assuming since they are in Georgia that the blackbird was running moonshine for the Duke boys and attempted to jump one of Hazzard counties many derelict bridges and didn't make it.

You could spend all day coming up with inventive explanations about the continuity of these movies. The fact is, there is none. Marvel Studios for example are not only making great films, but they're also establishing continuity between them. They also happen to bring in a load of cash for them as well. Fox only care about the latter, which is probably why critics and fans hate every CBM they've ever made! (apart from Singer's X-Men films which seem to divide opinion) As long as they can make a quick buck, we'll keep on getting the likes of Fantastic Four and Elektra as they don't understand that they should be looking a lot closer at the comic books rather than doing anything they want with the characters.

Emma Frost was not in Origins. That was Husk, from the Generation X series. So, even if they wanted to include Origins in their continuity(which they've stated they're not), they could.

I, for one, have not been thrilled with any Fox CBM, but I also know that it only takes one time to turn that around. I refrain judgement until it comes out. All you people shitting on the movie aren't giving it a fair shake, and will go in seeing it with such a bad attitude that it can only suck.

If you guys hated on Dark Knight so much before it came out, it would have been the worst movie in your eyes. Also, most of you on here are hypocrits, also siting Dark Knight. Everyone on here hated Ledger as the Joker without even seeing it, and didn't love him until he died. Bastards. All of you.

None of you have what it takes to make a great film, CBM or otherwise. If you did, you'd be doing it. Take it from someone who has a degree in Film Production. It is a tedious and complicated job to translate a script into film, and not everyone can do it. I learned I couldn't make it in Hollywood, and almost lost everything doing so.

Fox as a company does not set out to make horrible films. They get a property, and hire someone to direct it, and those directors are the ones to blame. Fox isn't going to shelve a multimillion dollar project just because some comic book geeks don't feel its worthy. They invested tons of money, and need a return. And a return they get. If these movies are so terrible, than why are they banking off each one of them? I'm not a fan of any of them, but because I'm a purist like most of you. But the general public, which is who these movies are made for, love them and spend their money on them.

In other words, Fox is doing something right....

In the script for Origins, which you can find easily on the internet(in fact, I think you can still bid ona Hugh Jackman signed copy on E-Bay), it lists the character as Husk. If the want to change her "real" name, then thats the writers pulling poetic license. Either way, its not Emma Frost in Origins.

If she is not frost then why did they say she was frost during the publicity sell? It was frost, fox realized they messed up and quickly changed it. Do not be niave people. That was supposed to be frost.

@Guason: Nice. Hope you're not using up my bandwidth there. LOL!

Speculate? No, I'm just here to bash this movie.
That's right, before it is released.
And before we even see any trailer.
Why?
Because it's Fox!

Come to think of it, never mind.
LOL!
