In an interview with Total Beauty, the 20-year-old actress wasnt asked much about her role as the mutant Mystique in X-Men: First Class, but the site does report the following interesting pieces of information:
"Lawrence plays the indigo-painted Mystique – a role that will require 12 hours of prosthetics. The role, which she nearly declined until she was moved by the prequel's storyline, requires much of Lawrence to be in the buff." I'm not sure whether or not there's been much mention of her going through the same sort of extensive make-up effects as Rebecca Romijn did in the first three X-Men movies but this certaintly confirms that she will as I highly doubt they made all of the above information up! Either way, the one thing they did transcribe from quizzing her about the movie was:
"My job is not to be skinny, my job is to act." Fair enough then.
X-Men: First Class will be released on June 3, 2011!
