Bleeding Cool have got some info via Jonathan Ross'(who's wife Jane Goldman is scripting First Class) radio show. Apparently the movie will shoot this summer at London's Pinewood Studios...

The X-Men: First Class production office at Pinewood was opened on May 10th and they have two big sound stages for the shoot. Vaughn and Goldman are already working out of the studio to a large extent.

Mathew Vaughan has worked from Pinewood for both Kick-Ass and Stardust so it makes sense that he would bring his next film there too.

Bleeding Cool have also received this request from the West Michigan From Office confirming that at least part of First Class will be set in Central/South America...

A location scout is seeking out areas with a 1960’s, South-American or Central American island feel for the next X-Men movie, ‘X-Men: First Class.’ In particular, he needs to find café and bar locations, evoking the Argentinian feel of Bariloche, and an Art Deco Cafe or restaurant overlooking a body of water. Additionally, the movie calls for a Miami styled harbor for yachts. If you know of any locations that seem to match a description, please contact our office.

So we know where some of the film will be set, even though it won't actually be filmed there. All we know besides is that James McAvoy has been cast as Professor X, Mathew Vaughan is directing, Jane Goldman is writing and it will focus on, in some capacity, the original team getting together. I wasn't looking forward to this, and am still apprehensive given the story, but Vaghan/Goldman and a certain other CBM called Kick-Ass have proved to be a great combo, so although McAvoy is a bit of strange choice for Xavier, I'm watching this one with some more interest.

If sony can scrap 3 spiderman movies, why can't fox do the same for xmen? I want to see a proper angel, and eventually archangel.

Next summer is going to be EPIC for us CBMers i just hope this movie is as good if not better then his work on Kick ASS he did a lot of cool things with that movie. And to add I dont get the back to high school kick with the Non-marvel run flicks, why do they need to tween 'em up?

@CapFanLex: It's because that's where those comics started but First Class won't be a tween film for sure because alot of focus will be from Xavier and Magneto's POV but I'm sure there is going to be development of the younger mutants. Anyway, why were people crying for a X film that takes place before Wolverine joined if they're going to complain when it happens? lol

Kick-ass was, . . well Kickass lol. So this might be alright, we'll have to wait and see.

Gonna just cross my fingers, and hope for the best with this one. I like the idea of a fresh, younger cast, just hope they keep the timeline halfway correct. I think it'd be a good idea to put focus on the fact of the overall prejudice the non-mutant people have against them & their struggle against that on top of the usual 'trying to learn to develop my talents, and oh yeah, stop the threat to the society that hates me, too' angle. They should have the friends of humanity in their to spur the anti-mutant hate, and link the Creeds in easter egg-fashion. Put the brotherhood in their, to play the young, radical mutants, and easter egg the Morlocks.

i loved the First Class comics. Sure, they were a little kiddy at times, but it was really nice reading an X-Men comic that wasn't loaded down with generations of continuity. and come on, they were teenagers.

This film is going to be a waste of money. I'm a big "X-Men" fan, but I, probably, will NEVER watch more than one trailer and w/e TV Spots are thrown at me.
