Nick "Beast" Hoult Comments Briefly On X-Men: First Class Trailer!

Nothing too revealing here unfortunately, but here's what the British actor had to say in a recent interview when quizzed about both his thoughts on the X-Men: First Class trailer and the subsequent reaction from fans following its release a couple of weeks back.

"There’s been great feedback so far. I think they’ve done a really cool job with the trailer. I can’t wait to see the final film."


And if you're interesting in what the movies producer, Bryan Singer, will be doing next, here's what Hoult had to say about working with him on Jack the Giant Killer.

"It’s a darker version of Jack and the Beanstalk. I’m really looking forward to getting started."


Directed by Matthew Vaughn and starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Kevin Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Zoe Kravitz, X-Men: First Class is set to be released on June 3, later this year!

i dont understand how in that first leaked picture of the cast, Beast looked more like he did in X3 than in the trailer

@AlcoholicA, I don't know he looks like he has some features of the modern beast. His nose is a bit flat and he has that catty like cleft lip.

@DCMF "he's ugly" Whats beast meant to look like a supermodel. Not defending this movie but that comment was a bit dumb no offence. If you said he looked wrong I would get it.

This dude could have been a great cyclops he's got the height, frame and chops to pull it off, just replace the glasses he's wearing in the trailer with a ruby quartz battle visor, and you have your cyclops.

suspense@ i LOVED T4 too. it was everything i wanted to see in a post apocalyptic terminator film. and i have high hopes for first class. it will be a good film but a horrible adaptation. we will never see a proper first class film from fox. and a reboot is out of the question for now...

Yeah, he does look feline compared to 90's beast, but I was thinking along the lines of the feline beast that certain artist draw where he has that huge extended snout. i think the X-Men Heroic Age one shot is an example of what I'm talking about and what I think about when i think "new beast"

I am a big fan of Kelsey Grammers, but i do wish they had went with their original idea..and with this one..of Beast being CGI. im recalling perhaps the tech wasnt quite good enough for the job. They were even in talks with such actors as Sean Connery to provide his voice, but (clears throat) you know how, ummm, rumors can be.

I was a T4 fan too, there was some "come with me if you want to live","i'll be back" and John Conner getting saved by a robot, what's to hate? I really would've enjoyed an xmen movie that everyone could've enjoyed rather then splitting fandom down the middle. I mean they went on a tangent with "Baraka-pool" in origins and look where that ended up. is it that they refuse to learn from past mistakes or like with X3 just refuse to believe that anything went wrong?

That symnopsis is 100% bullshit. IMDB is never to be a trusted source, and that entire write up is void of any of the actual plot points we know will be in the movie. Nice try, though.

I agree with teabag's comment that the Grammer version looked like a bad cosplay outfit. I've never been a big fan of the feline look since it was introduced back in New X-Men. It definitely seems to work for the movie though. :)
