UPDATE 2: X-Men: First Class Next Up for Fox

...I mean, I know 10-year-olds want superhero movies too, but there's A LOT of us (semi) adults who want our superhero movies, too, damnit!

PLEASE FOX!!! NO MORE EMO CYCLOPS!! WE WANT TO SEE THE REAL CYCLOPS IN THE COMICS!! THE MASTER & COMMANDER OF THE X-MEN!!! THE STRATEGIST! THE TACTICIAN!

We all know that Cyclops wasn't treated fairly in the X-men Movies because they focused too much on Wolverine. But I think NOW is the right time to give Cyclops the proper characterization he truly deserved.

Please 20th Century Fox and Lauren Shuler Donner. Just give Cyclops a chance, give him the Main Spotlight. And a chance to redeem himself.

Yes please listen to @SUPERASIANGOKU! Cyclops was raped in the Xmen Films. He was not the Cyclops I grew up on and pretending to be. We all love Wolverine but DAMN! Its called the Xmen, not Wolverine and the Xmen! Good cartoon but I would like a X-MEN FILM! Team work attacks, Cyclops giving out orders, Wolverine talking shit but follows, because he knows Summers knows what he's talking about. Dammit read the Messiah Complex. The opening is a perfect example of how Cyclops be. Plus what kid wouldn't want a Cyclops eye Visor????? with sound effects!

I agree with you on Iceman. I have said this many times. " How in the Hell dont you have Iceman sliding through the air on ice?? Perfect movie scene. Bobby needs to be play by someone like Chris Evans. He was a good Johnny Storm. not saying that they should get Evans for the role but his attitude is what Iceman needed. And he should have been covered in ice sooner into the movie, besides just at the end.And how wack was that? (you need to chill) Damn, damn , damn.

In the end, I have very LOW hopes for this film. Fox cant make Superhero movies for shit. Each film that they have made has had its good moments but in a whole, I don't think they were done right. I wish that Marvel would buy the right back and do the X-men films themselves, same goes for Sony and Spider-man.

Im a little disappointed at this news because I really had hoped idiotic Fox might turn around and make a X4 & x5 back to back to save on costs, which is the main reason (along with X3 sucking) the main X-Men movies arent continuing because they cost too much too make. I really wanted to see X4 and X5 fix the problems with the franchise and give the X-Men franchise a proper ending with a battle against Sinsiter and Apocalypse. THEN they could have gone back to the beginning of the X-Men and have a prequel trilogy showing how the team came together and their first battle against Magneto and the brotherhood. They also could have had Shadow King and Hellfire Club. But no, I think Im gonna join the X-Men movie haters because Fox is gonna [frick] this franchise up even more now. It was actually good once. But now I do expect X-Men 90210, [frick]ing Fox

All of you are missing the fact that X-Men: First Class maybe and more than likely is moving ahead as a reboot of the X-Men series because of X-3.

It's going to be interesting to see who this first class is. If it's not the original five then I don't think that is gonna go over to well with the fans. The first five students to Xavier's School For Gifted Youngsters was a major stepping stone for Marvel Comics. That being said Fox simply has to find a way to put Iceman and Angel in this film. The fallout will be pretty bad if they don't.

If they do first class I just hope that they focus on how much of a bad ass cyclops can be. I hate the way that they just killed him off in X3 really pissed me off. I'm a huge fan of his and he's never been given the props he deserves in any of the X Men movies... if they do a reboot they need to just keep wolverine out of it.
