X-Men: First Class Casting Avalanche, Cyclops, Scalphunter, Angel, Prism and Ramrod?

This just came in from a scooper... Over the weekend, Screen Terrier casting (in charge of "X-Men: First Class" movie) held various screen test for the movie.

Among the actors (all male) were: Jason Behr, Andrew Francis, Boyd Holbrook, Patrick J. Adams, Jonas Armstrong, Jamie Dornan and Tom Parker. According to my friend the characters they were casting were: Avalanche, Cyclops, Scalphunter, Angel, Prism and Ramrod. People from the production of the movie are trying to round up the casting as soon as possible as shooting is starting next month in london and paris.

As a big fan of the x men film series, I can't wait for this to come out!!

I THOUGHT WITH ALL THE OTHER XMEN MOVIES THE TIMELINE AND AGES AND WHAT WOULD BE ALL OUT OF WACK, BUT WITH INTRODUCTION OF NEW MUTANTS..MAYBE THERES A GLIMMER OF OK IN THIS..

Angel?!? What? Now I'm really confused. Angel but not Iceman? I guess Singer only cared about the first two Superman movies before he made his sequel.

there's been a lot of movement on this film lately, but it seems like they're going the 'have a whole bunch of mutant cameos' route, and that may be a bad thing, remember x3? I'm loving the Kevin Bacon news, though, if he's gonna be sebastian shaw, that'll be a good look. I still don't like the timeline discrepancies, didn't the hellfire club come along well after the original 5? I hope it turns out well

again, is it a sequel or reboot? otherwise i agree with everyone else its confusing. if a prequel how can you have angel? if its a reboot why angel but no iceman? and why all the other mutants? once again, just answer the [frick]ing question prequel or reboot!!!!

They are rushing this film into production so it won't have to compete with Batman 3 and The Avengers in 2012. As much as I want this movie to be great, this is going to be a horrible film.

This is getting more and more retarded as it goes. No one has any clue of what's happening. And i'm not even sure FOX does either. This all looks like one huge cluster[frick]. And one that will make "Burn after reading" seem over simplistic. Are they even considering making Wolverine's Japan Saga and Deadpool's spin off after they're farting this First Class out??? Where the [frick] do they stand???

I have a feeling that we are going to see are all these characters in some dopey group scene that don't relate to the comic .Or they are trying something like the X-men vs. some wackey version of the Hellfire club. Ethier way this sounds like Fox doesn't want to lose there lincenses' on all of these characters so they are trying to put them all in the film. Singer you Suck, and so do you Fox!

what...outta any of the x-men movies...makes any of u think this movie will follow the comic book timeline???..fox owns this..singer is attached..and we almost had a twi-fag in it...THATS 3 STRIKES PEOPLE!!!!...with this commin out the same year as GL...THOR...and CAP...it will be the worse comicbook movie of 2011!!!...the only way this movie will make money is riding on the coat tails of the other 3 mentioned...

Does the presence of Angle officially confirm this as a reboot? Bottom line is no one knows and no one is supposed to know at the moment, so just wait it out, everything will be sorted out in due time.

How will they include Angel, when in the previous movies he seemed clueless about the X-Men when he met them? Otherwise I'm looking forward to seeing some new characters.

I hate to be the one talking junk before a movie is released or we have a chance to see anything fromt he production...but how can this be titled X-Men: First Class? Cyclops, Jean, Beast, Angel and Iceman. Those should be the Xavier Mutants in this. Why does Fox feel that in order to make a good X-Men movie they need to cram as many mutants as possible in each film?

well no one knew who angel was in X3, so if he's an x-man in this, then its gotta be a reboot. so its no wonder Fox isn't saying it yet.

I have a feeling most of those characters will be in the movie for less than 5 minutes (just like what they did in The Wolverine movie).

There is very little confirmed info on this and no one knows the time line so everyone should just calm down. The film has a good director who I doubt will release something sub-par to his standards. The CONFIRMED cast so far is getting critical acclaim from recent gigs as well, there really isn't much shite news regarding this movie, other than the slightly condensed production time.

Plus how is anybody going to judge this movie already without seeing what the premise is or who the other cast members are????

I completely agree with you guys, its just a rumor people!!

I kno it sounds confusing now and everything and i hope they dont make the mistake of shoving alot of mutants in this film like origins but this movie has the potential to overuse the mutants. Think about it...Origins focused mainly on Wolverine and it still had alot of mutants in it...This is the X-Men!! and it could be a dangerous situation if Fox and Singer dont watch what their doing...they could get caught up in all the mutand hysteria and lose sight on what is important...the story, acting, and action

Maybe they could get brock lesnar to play juggernaut! he wouldnt need much acting skills to play him. plus hes already huge and looks just like him imo! vinnie jones is a pretty good actor and he had like two lines in x3.

I was being sarcastic. The movie is starting production soon and practically nothing has been confirmed. But the little things that they do confirm are... weird. As in "not enough to get a clear picture of their intentions". The only thing we can do is wait and see.

There is no way Jason Behr auditioned for Cyclops.He was too old to play a teen when Roswell debuted 11 years ago.He's the same age as James Marsden.I'm sure if he auditioned, it's for one of the other characters.

Please forgive my absolute ignorance, but is ramrod not more associated with Daredevil and Spiderman?

All character issues aside and whether they should be in or out of the movie... out of the "rumored" list above I think there are some of these guys that definitely look the part for sure. I mean, I don't know a lot about their acting abilities, but I can certainly see Andrew Francis or Boyd Holbrook as Angel and Jonas Armstrong (maybe with longer hair) as Scalphunter.

Also, I think Jamie Dornan (from my home town) looks the part of Avalanche although I would still prefer to see Aaron Johnson as Cyclops.

Hawksblueyes- Yeah i remember that! Was it in an article or someone's comment? I forget... But anyhoo, this has to be a reboot given the age change for Charles and Mags alone. I just hope they're rebooting this RIGHT! For all we know, "Angel" could be a codename for another character entirely, and one of those could be iceman's aswell... that's my whole point, no one knows shit! Confirmations would be nice :)
