Jamie Moss has come on board to write a new draft of the X-Men: First Class screenplay, according to Heat Vision. Josh Schwartz wrote the original draft.

Jamie Moss has only written Street Kings in the past. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing though...

Today and yesterday have been filled with great treats for all comic book fans, huh?

@dmon: no offense but are you on crack? street kings sucks balls. its a terribly written movie with a shit ton of plot hole. o and did i mention keauno reeves is in it. that automatically made it a bad movie since he sucks at acting.

so im not sure if this is a good sign

@Joob Where were the plot holes? And Keanu has been in some good movies and there are alot worse actors out there like Ben Affleck who truely has the things that people fault Keanu for.

I decided a while ago to keep my x-men movie expectations very low. That way, I might mildly enjoy this film like I did Wolverine.

Keanu Reeves had two good roles: Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventures and Point Break. My Own Private Idaho was decent. Thats about it.

Ben Affleck should stick to directing. Did you see Gone Baby Gone? Amazing film!

hahahahahahahahahaha you just compared keanu to affleck lol thats like [frick]ing night and day. just because he was in SOME good movies doesnt mean he's a good actor. he's one of this generations worst and most predictable actors along side nick cage. he sucks at acting!!!!!!! the only movie i liked him in was constantine, and yet, guess what, he still sucked at acting in that movie! he shows no [frick]ING emotion!!!!! he sucks ass. Street kings was like Training day for pussies. the only thing i liked about it was hugh laurie.

learn something about acting then get back to me.

@ Joob Ben Affleck has no emotion what so ever and always plays Ben Affleck. Have you ever seen River's Edge its one of Keanu's first roles. The same thing you accuse Keanu of can be said of Affleck. Name one movie Affleck does not play himself.

just make the characters like cyclops,colossus,iceman,arcangel,rogue,gambit,nightcrawler,beak,chamber,sinister,sentinels,and apocalypse fit into the story and have screen time.well some of them would not fit into first class because they came later but thats what x-4,and x-5 is for.

@ Joob Also how is Street Kings Training Day for P***ies. Granted Training Day was an awesome story but it had no where the action that Street Kings had.

I quite enjoyed Street Kings but with Bryan Singer directing this movie is doomed whoever writes it! ;(

Street Kings was not exciting at all, very predictable not helped by lackluster performances. That doesn't mean this is going to have a bad script, just nothing to be particularly excited about beforehand.

ok ill get in on this...
if u compare street kings 2 training day..well then it sucked big time..
keanu dosnt show much emotion when he acts...thats y he gets type casted in such roles...matrix trilogy, the day the earth stood still..and so on...but he was good in those roles...
nick cage is an awsum actor..dont bring him in2 this!
affleck didnt act like affleck when he doned the DD suit!..thats all i got..he is pretty much the same guy in every movie...but a great director! gone baby gone was top notch!..his brother can act his ass off!

Reeves is not a bad actor..he's just a bad emoter. He still has a certain amount of screen precence and he's convincing in certain roles(Constantine, Scanner Darkly etc)..Cage is great..anyone who hasn't seen at least one Cage performance that blows them away simply needs to watch more movies. Afflec was a good DD..could have been better..and his bro is a legend.

ok time to list the movies he showed emotion in and didnt play himself in: state of play (wasnt a very good movie tho), clerks 2, smokin aces, the sum of all fears ([frick]ing jack ryan people!), extract. the only one i could say he legitimately plays himself is good will hunting (bcuz he cowrote that movie with matt damon and won an oscar for it!)

We already know what the format will be. Young Scott, Jean, Beast..with Emma Frost and probably a few of the mutants from the end of Wolverine..Quicksilver, Banshee etc...anyone holding their breath for a reboot with the original 5 from the comic will need a biiiig oxygen mask!

xmutantx i actually dont like him that much as an acotr lol. im just trying to make it clear that hes alot better of an acotr than keanu reeves which is true. lol

and ya ror: ihope in the back of my heart they use the original 5. but i doubt it will happen.

Singer's coming back? So much for any prayer of seeing the X-Men wearing COSTUMES instead of that leather fetish crap. Ugh.

I'm also wondering how they'll work Wolverine in to this, since we could NEVER do an X-Men movie that was less than 90% Wolverine! Heaven forbid! Even though a true "First Class" movie would focus on the original X-Men only, which did NOT include Wolvie. Sadly, Rorschach is exactly right. This movie will be "First Class" in name only.
