The general consensus on what is happening in the above scene is that Moira McTaggert(Byrne) doesn't seem to happy at seeing Charles Xavier(McAvoy) stepping out for a walk with a young Mystique. Its unknown if the characters will be involved in a love triangle or not though.

hhaa, I know Josh, but I think your gonna be pleasantly surprised! I can't wait for it. There really isn't THAT many changes that have to be accepted. Once you get over the fact that its called First Class but has nothing to do with that comic, the biggest liberty for me is making Havok Scott's older brother. After that its all small time liberties imo.

I fear there might be humble pie munching all round.

It seems to be inkeeping with the X-men Movie Universe so in that regard (like Ror says) there aren't that many things you have to 'accept'.

If, on the other hand, you totally hated the other four X-films so far made then I guess you already know you're in for another let down.

What I would like to know tho is - what happens, hyperthetically speaking, if this film not only turns out to be awesome BUT truly, critically, financially and cinematically amazing!!! What happens if it wins loads of awards for cinemtography? For performances? For screenplay and direction and music??? Would everyone critizing it now 'hate' it??

Admittedly, it might suck the big fat one...

Look I'm a huge X-MEN fan, the last two were a complete waste and could have been better, much better!

All this is, is that MAGNETO movie no one even wanted lmao!

Anyways, I can't see it holding up to such films as THOR and GREEN LANTERN, just can't!

I wish it was Gold I truly do.

Great find. Now this may seem silly BUT, has there been anything to verify that Alex will be older than Scott in this movie? I mean we have all assumed he will be but this film is reportedly jumping timelines. Maybe it works out that Scott is still older.

Just a thought. Don't kill me.

Lol, you might be right ROR! As I've always said, it'll be a good movie but a bad comic book movie...which I guess is what leaves me feeling so negative about it! The oddest thing is that I wouldnt feel that negatively towards it if it wasnt called X-Men: First Class! The biggest liberty for me was the fact that Emma Frost somehow went from a 30 year old in this movie, to a teenager in Wolverine! :D

Problem with FIRST CLASS is... its starting off sh1t, not a good sign!

They had a chance to forget that horrible franchise and start over... they didn't take it!

I mean come on, DAREDEVIL but not X-MEN... wtf FOX?

Oh yeah forgot about that one! I dunno, I think that chick in Wolverine will just have to be another mutant with diamond skin! I know she was called Emma in the promotional posters and stuff, but they never say her name in the movie. But like Hawks reminded us, there could well be some type of time shift thing. Vaughn and Singer both alluded to something like that in interviews so they might us that to explain some stuff. You never know, it could turn out to be a great adaptation AND a great movie! And it might be shit too! haha, I can't see that happening with the talent involved though.

Lee what are you on about! Horrible franchise? You loved X2!

At the time @ ROR, at the time...

If FOX didn't continue it I still probably would have, their just making a mess of it all now.

I've gotta admit X2 and X-MEN had more quality than the other two, but I've seen better stuff since, WATCHMEN, IRON MAN, INCREDIBLE HULK, SIN CITY, the list goes on...

(Opens your eyes what cbm's should try an achieve!)

Still love the original X-MEN soundtrack tho! : p

Good points. January Jones will apparently be in lingerie at some point so at least I can enjoy that if nothing else! :D The worst thing for me though is Cyclops and Jean...I was really looking forward to seeing them done a little better even if we didnt get the rest of the original five!

At the time my ass! x2 is better than ANYTHING marvel has put out so far imo. And yes that includes the mighty Iron man 1! THI and Iron Man 2 don't even come close. That film had more heart and soul than all of the other ones I mentioned put together.

I remember you going on and on about how much you liked X2 but now because they won't give you the type of X-Men movie you want to see its suddenly not up to scratch? Someone posted here that maybe January Jones' Emma may transfer her consciousness into the Emma from XMO:W,(or something like that) the same way Prof X did in X3. I think that's d only way to get this continuity to make sense. On the other hand can accept it being just a retcon of the character because only her Character Spot has her called Emma Frost. No where in the movie or in the credits is she called Frost

No I liked BEN GRIMM and JOHNNY STORM in them movies, DOOMSIE always was a gr8 FOX take ... NOT!

Don't you get if MARVEL STUDIOS was making these we'd get amazing fantastic movies!!!

I've tried giving FOX a go, they just get worst an worst!

I'm dreading the rebooted FANTASTIC FOUR and DAREDEVIL, also if DEADPOOL's anything like what we've had they can stick that where the sun don't shine! : p

I love FOX for bringing us STAR WARS tho!

Yeah I can't hate on Fox cause of Star Wars as well. My all time fav movie.

Isn't Moira like in her early 40's in X3.
SO HOW THE HELL IS SHE AROUD THE SAME AGE AS PROF X IN FIRST CLASS.

I am really looking forward to this movie. Mystique and Emma Frost are smoking hot and they got the look. I am betting this movie will be good time.

I know most people are hating on the movie but look at the positives:

- Matthew Vaughn has never made a bad film!
- Jane Goldman is awesome and from what I have heard about Thor's script, Ashley and co. Is great too.
- The cast is great, seriously solid. I doubt SO many great up and coming actors would sign on to a film that would be a joke.
- the costumes will be more in the same vein as comic books AND take place in the 60's!! That is exciting as hell.

I hate that cyke and co. Is not in this but I am guessing they are going to be in the sequel? I just want Vaughn to do a in depth interview about X-Men first class.

either way, I look forward to this movie and have lots of hope.

agreed, X2 is one of the best CBM's ever. I thought IM1 was just ok and hated IM2 so those films are nothing. THI was pretty good and I actually liked the director's cut of daredevil. Other good Marvel adaptions (in my opinion) was Punisher with Thomas Jane and Blade 1&2 (3 was just ok). So far, out of all Marvel flicks though- X2 is their best.
