REVIEW: 300 Reasons Not To Watch 300: RISE OF AN EMPIRE

THIS... IS... NOT... SPAAARRTA! From the title alone you can probably guess that CBMer 'dbatman' didn't think too much of Noam Murro's follow up to Zack Snyder's original sword 'n sandals bloodbath, but click on for his thoughts and leave your own in the usual place.

Heh, I only ever need one reason to not watch a movie, really: my girlfriend shows interest.

Bravado, I love you. In the manliest way possible, of course.

this is the only site I know where everyone post hot chicks in the comments. I have no idea if that's a good thing or as bad thing.

For once I actually agree with a review, the movie is boring, people die without in build up or giving you time to care, yes Eva green is one good thing about it, but me along with the rest of the audience were longing for the Spartans to show, and they do for 2 minutes

Clearly this "reviewer" has no appreciation for graphic novel adaptations, stylized cinematography, extreme theatrics, or Frank Miller. I enjoyed Rise far more than I anticipated. In fact, I had a similar experience with Robocop as well. I'd rank both movies at a 3.75/5.00 with confidence.

@Bravado well, you got me on the grammar there.

@DrunkenNukem CHill about the title, man. I just thought it was a catchy headline. And second opinion is the title of all my movie reviews.

@SoulAlone Dude, I'm a member of this site, sure, I appreciate all of those you just mentioned. Besides, this isn't an adaptation of a graphic novel, the first movie was. This cinematography has been done a million times and even looks better in the first movie. And frank Miller didn't write this one. And I think I made clear from the review that I liked the first movie.

It may seem like I don't like the movie, but i'm fine with it. Its not insultingly bad. It's was okay. I can seat down and watch it if there is nothing else on TV. But if Im reviewing it, I have to share why it doesn't work.

huh? This movie is beautiful to watch, and it has Eva Green, these are enough reasons.

It inspires people to work out and go for it, total opposite to those Appatow movies in which lazy losers get lucky.

VictorHugo It looks pretty, I guess. Are you saying the mark of a good movie is based on whether Eva Green is in it or not?

Nesides, almost all movies have buff guys in it. ANd why are we comparing an Appatow movie to an action movie, where does that even come from?
