What kind of world do we live in where Pitch Perfect 2 beats Mad Max in the theaters! Has the world gone mad or is it just me?

Hands down best movie I've seen in a long, long time. From beginning to the end, you are in the Wasteland. A masterclass in world-building. While I was watching the movie I felt like I was in a vacuum-only the wasteland, only the rigs, Furiosa, Max and the Music.

In some parallel universe, George Miller made the JLA movie. I can't even fathom what direction he would have gone with it. Maybe 15-20 years down the road there will be a documentary that reveals the costumes and storyboards for the movie like the current Burton Superman Lives doc.

I'm going to get flamed but I didn't love it as much as everyone else. I honestly think it should have been split into two movies. Was a good ride and glad I saw it in theaters.

@Chuck420Taylor

Im gonna sound a little hostile here but it's because I'm really passionate about this film and film in general. Anyway there is no reason it should have been split into two films. It was so well paced and filmed. Visually it's one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen. This new mentality of split things into two parts can work sometimes but not in this case. This film was just so well made from the action set pieces to the score that I would have felt cheated out of the full experience if it was split into two.

You forgot the part when Furiosa activates the War Rigs superchargers. She pulls on a knob on the shifter just like Max did in the Road Warrior to activate the supercharger on the V8 Interceptor.

The movie was [frick]ing amazing and it might be the new staple action movie you have to see like Die Hard, Predator, and Terminator 2 it is that freaking good. And screw all those idiotic man groups who are calling to boycott this movie just because it has kick ass women. Sorry just because women speak their minds, don't do what their husband tells them to do, and because they aren't just cooking and having babies that does not make this some feminist propaganda movie.

every single 'go-to' action filmmaker needs to take a good look at this film, and study what Miller just did. Basically he threw down at 70 years old and said "yer embarrassing the action film genre. Just stop."

Why has no one mentioned Coma the Doof Warrior? Shredding that guitar... Ruff. He was my favorite part.

Don't be sorry I loved Avengers 2 but Mad Max right now is my favorite film of 2015 and I am surprised how much I loved this film and how it kicked most current action films right in the nuts.

I'm torn....Ex Machina blew my mind. Then again so did Fury Road. Two completely different sub-genres of Sci-fi, yet both extremely stimulating. I'm not sure which one I like more. Hardy and Theron are are superb in just about anything. Miller poured on the action and batpoo crazy, post apocalyptic horrors. Alex Garland is pure genius! Alicia Vikander is AMAZING IN ALL FACETS OF HER ART! The Girlie has 7 films coming out in 2015! Ex Machina is Brilliant in all spectrums!

This movie was garbage.
I can't believe I wasted coin on this.

This movie was brainless unimaginative dreck.

@pesmerga44 " of course everything you said was absolutely wrong but hey your entitled to say it."
Really?
Oh thank you for the entitlement.
But I contend to say with unabashed understanding of whats good or bad.
Mad Max:Fury Road is a BAD MOVIE.
The script( if there really was one) is terrible from the jump.
It's like they literally shot a very loose pitch and everything else was
forced eye candy car chases AND$hitty fast motion effect$ for no reason.
This movie gave no reason to care about anyone if they lived or died.

Anyone who likes this poor attempt at a re-boot can NOT say a word negative about Batman and Robin,Superman Returns,Spider-man3,Iron-Man 3 ,Electra or Catwoman.....
Because you are okay with whatever "They" serve you and you eat it gladly.

I'm just sayin.
