After spending what seemed like forever in development hell, World War Z has risen from the grave and looks poised to be a box office terror. Collider reports that long-time film veteran and Academy Award Nominee Ed Harris (Apollo 13, A History of Violence) has joined the cast as well as Matthew Fox (Lost, Smokin' Aces). World War Z is based on the best-selling novel by Max Brooks (Zombie Survival Guide) and recounts the tales of various survivors ten years after a large scale war against hordes of flesh-eating zombies. Harris and Fox joins the cast of Brad Pitt, Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker), Mireille Enos (The Killing), and James Badge Dale. Production is expected to start this fall for a summer 2012 release from Paramount.
