Once the fuse has been lit, there's really no stopping it.

After debuting with the largest opening day ever recorded for a 2D film in China, Paramount Pictures & Skydance Productions' Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation has now crossed the $100 million mark with a 10-day gross of over $102.05 million. The Chris McQuarrie-directed film, which stars megastar Tom Cruise in the lead, has now officially surpassed the entire $101 million Chinese run of the previous installment Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol.

The critically acclaimed film is expected to cross the $700 million mark early next week, if not, by the end of this weekend. Its worldwide total currently stands at approximately $630-640 million with a domestic collection of about $190-195 million and an international collection of about $424-$430 million.

Last weekend, the film earned over $91 million overseas, it's expected to earn at least $60 million this weekend.

With the IMF disbanded, and Ethan (Tom Cruise) out in the cold, the team now faces off against a network of highly skilled special agents, the Syndicate. These highly trained operatives are hellbent on creating a new world order through an escalating series of terrorist attacks. Ethan gathers his team and joins forces with disavowed British agent Ilsa Faust (Rebecca Ferguson), who may or may not be a member of this rogue nation, as the group faces their most impossible mission yet.

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation features:
Director: Christopher McQuarrie
Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt
Jeremy Renner as William Brandt
Simon Pegg as Benji Dunn
Ving Rhames as Luther Stickell
Rebecca Ferguson as Ilsa Faust
Alec Baldwin as Alan Hunley
Sean Harris as Solomon Lane
Simon McBurney as Attlee
Zhang Jingchu as Lauren
Jens Hultén as Janik "Bone Doctor" Vinter
Tom Hollander as the Prime Minister
America Olivo as Turandot
Hermione Corfield as Record Shop Girl

Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation has lit the fuse and is out everywhere NOW!

@WakandasSoul Ahhhhhh gotcha hahahah I was thinking through the past movies....and i was like....who the [frick]....hahahahah

Yes. She definitely needs to be a recurring character. She did such an amazing job.

That female team would kick the shit out of Charlie's Angels!!

I know it has nothing to do with this, but I so hope WB gets him for a comic book movie. He'd be a great Hal Jordan. Because not only does he have the will power to over come fear, he also knows how to fly jets. The sad thing is he might be pushing it, because he's older than Ben and I'm not sure how old WB wants their DC actors to be.

I hate it when the female action movies are like women trying to be badass instead of just being badass, like she was in MI5. If they made a team of legit badass women like her I would throw moneys at that film.

That would be cool! Unfortunately Cruise is in his 50s. Not sure if he could commit to something like that. Also...He is pretty short :S

@WakandasSoul "Ferguson in this movie was one of the only legit times I remember wanting to be as badass as the lead FEMALE"

TOTALLY agree. She seriously kicked ass. And I'm really glad Cruise encouraged it to. Cause sometimes she was stealing the spotlight away from him!

Marvel and DC can learn a lot about strong female characters from this one.

it was being described by news reporters before hand as a screening with never before seen scenes in Asia-Pacific....so unless I missed something this is probably the same trailer as D23. One person on twitter said it 'seemed to be like the d23 trailer'

We'll just have to wait until someone posts a description I guess.

I'd rank this summer:
Mad Max Fury Road, Antman, Mission Impossible Rogue Nation.
China is such a huge market lol it's gloriously helping MI5 make big bucks and at the same time also SAVING Terminator Genyshit ROTFL!

Finally saw it last night. Awesome action flick. I think it rates just below GP because the villain wasn't as compelling, but it had a lot more humor and the stakes keep getting higher with the MI franchise. Solomon Lane felt like a watered down Silva from Skyfall. His initial appearance in the record store had me anxious to learn more about his character, but he kind of fizzled out. Everything we know about him was explained by another character which actually disconnects the audience from him and his motivations. The idea of anti-IMF was cool, and I like the goon squad of former agents chasing Hunt all movie. Ferguson was incredible. If she ever appears in a CBM it has to be a starring role. She's too good to waste, and gorgeous too. Nice seeing athletic women in the recent MI movies. Cruise is ridiculous with his stunts. He gets older, and better at the same time...

I'd rather watch this than AOU for sure.
