MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 7 And 8 Delayed AGAIN As A Result Of The Ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic

There aren't many missions Tom Cruise won't accept, but even he won't get Mission: Impossible 7 into theaters this year. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that the movie will now open on July 14, 2023, after originally being scheduled to hit the big screen on September 30, later this year.

The blockbuster has shifted release dates multiple times since the pandemic began; it was supposed to be released on July 23 last year, but that didn't happen for obvious reasons.

It's also been confirmed that Mission: Impossible 8 has shifted from July 7, 2023 to June 28, 2024.

"After thoughtful consideration, Paramount Pictures and Skydance have decided to postpone the release dates for Mission: Impossible 7 & 8 in response to delays due to the ongoing pandemic," reads a statement shared with the trade by Paramount Pictures and Skydance. "The new release dates will be July 14, 2023, and June 28, 2024, respectively. We look forward to providing moviegoers with an unparalleled theatrical experience."

Mission: Impossible - Fallout director Christopher McQuarrie is directing both movies, while Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett, Cary Elwes, Indira Varma, Rob Delaney, and Charles Parnell have all been cast.

We're sure both films will be worth the wait, but this is a shame. It was to be expected in some ways (Cruise is a big proponent of the big screen experience), but we just hope this is it for delays.

I guess they haven't gotten the memo

the pandemic is over

the new variant Omnicrom is extremely mild something akin to a cold

I got a headache and some chills figured it was just a mild cold but then i found out it was omicron felt good after 2 days

and we've had bad colds for ever and life went on

@WakandaTech - Or you can stop spreading bullshit and understand everyone it affects is different. I had lower back pain for 3 days, Mother had severe flu symptoms, and my uncle passed away. Just because you got off lucky doesn't mean every else will.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - @THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Yeah, the delays have nothing to do with the pandemic. They need more time to CGI Tom's fat f**king face down to normal size.

By then the decepticon variant will be around still making people sick so what’s the point. Vaccinated or not this isn’t going to go away. There will always be new variants spreading. Enough people are vaccinated now that there’s no reason for delays in releases
