When a terrorist bombing destroys the Kremlin, the United States government initiates a black ops "ghost protocol" and disavows the entire Impossible Mission Force. Ethan Hunt and his team are to be blamed for the attack, but are allowed to escape as part of a plan to enable them to operate in the dark, outside of their agency. However, Hunt is warned that if any member of his team is captured during their mission, they will be charged as terrorists planning to incite global nuclear war. Ethan is then forced to work with ex-IMF agent Brandt, who knows more about Hunt and his past than even Hunt himself.

Via Coming Soon.

Directed by Brad Bird and starring Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Josh Holloway, Simon Pegg, Tom Wilkinson and Michael Nyqvist, Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is set to hit theatres on December 21.

Saw it this evening, it was really good, the action and suspense scenes have you on the edge of your seat. The very ending could have been a little better but it's my favourite episode in the franchise, for sure !

C'MON! Have you really ever been to an M:I movie you didn't at least mildly enjoy?!
This is Cruise's breadwinner. His old reliable. He knows when to churn one of these bad boys out and showcase his superior running skills to fall back into favor with the movie-goers.

Seriously though, he should totally just call them Mission: Impossible Running.

Or just "Running" with clever subtitles like ":Out of Time" and ":Into Danger".
