When a terrorist bombing destroys the Kremlin, the United States government initiates a black ops "ghost protocol" and disavows the entire Impossible Mission Force. Ethan Hunt and his team are to be blamed for the attack, but are allowed to escape as part of a plan to enable them to operate in the dark, outside of their agency. However, Hunt is warned that if any member of his team is captured during their mission, they will be charged as terrorists planning to incite global nuclear war. Ethan is then forced to work with ex-IMF agent Brandt, who knows more about Hunt and his past than even Hunt himself.

Scorpion8125 - What are you talking about?

How do you figure that J.J. Abrams lost control to Tom Cruise in MI:3? You completely pulled that out of your ass!!

And how do you figure that J.J. will have "more control" simply as a producer of the film, as opposed to being the director? You are aware that it's Brad Bird who is directing this film, right?

@HBAIT- Another revealing video.

I honestly, literally cannot watch this guy act in a film.

The foreknowledge of his psychosis is far too distracting.

@ scorpion

"Generally considered the world over to massively suck." Where did you get that from? It grossed $400 million worldwide and got a 70% on rotten tomatoes, plus it was rad. By all definitions it was well accepted. . . except by you.

Granted domestically it only pulled in $133, but DVD sales were fairly good. I am not going to lie, I enjoyed your statistics, most people just voice their opinions with nothing to back it up. The only part I can't agree with is that audience reaction int he U.S. was overwhelmingly negative. Anybody I talk to tends to agree that it is a well made film, and moreover, a 70% on rotten tomatoes is a pretty good score. Pirates 4 got a 33%, Cowboys and Aliens got a 44%, and Green Lantern got a 27%. This isn't to say that MI:3 is the best film ever, but it was not a failure financially or critically.
