Which do you think will do better in 2012

Now with all the CBMs coming in 2012 out of the two which (in your opinion) will do better?

Right now I'm split between the two because Batman 3 will not only have Batman fans watching it but the people that loved "The Dark Knight." With "The Avengers" coming out I think that it will have loads of people coming to see it. This will include the Cbm lovers, the people who loved "The Incredible Hulk," the people who loved "Iron Man 1&2" and the people who loved "Captain America" and "Thor" if it does well enough.





So which will do better?

Depends.Will Avengers be in 3D?Will it have higher ticket prices?

For me, it's Avengers.I love Batman, but it's been for years since I've seen him.My enthusiasm has waned a little.And it is the 3rd movie.I know it will probably be good, but I've already seen it twice before.

The Avengers, on the other hand, is new.This is the first time I'm getting a live action team up of heroes.Sure, I've seen X-Men and Watchmen, but they weren't really a full blown team.

My money is on Avengers, though I think the films might run neck and neck.

The Avengers, by far. Unless Batman 3 has Supes, WW, and the Flash...

Its gonna be The Avengers. I hate to admit it, but The Dark Knight's box office was really pushed forward by HEath Ledger's death. It got more noncomic book readers to see it, and when they realized it was good, they saw it again and again. Plus, The Avengers has an all star cast and will be in 3-d.

If it's any good, Batman will win the box office.

True, Avengers has 3D supporting it but being an early May release, it's box office will be canibalized by whatever the next blockbuster is (Madagascar 3, Men in Black 3, and will probably be gone from theaters by the time John Carter of Mars comes out a month later.)

But Batman comes out in late July, with little to no competition and a relatively weak August line up to steal it's box office plunder.

And it does actually have Ledger's death to back it up, in a way. Everyone and their mother saw the last film because of that, and seeing how good it was generated enough goodwill that there will be a lot of buzz for this one.

BUT... if Batman 3 isn't as good as people are expecting... if it falls victim to the same self-indulgence that messed up the third Pirates and Matrix movies... then we can expect it to fall pretty quickly.

Nothing kills a less-than-perfect movie better than excessive pre-hype.

Batman 3 of course. The dark knight broke so many records so I think batman will pwn avengers.

first off,that is a great fan made avengers poster.:)

the avengers hopefully,you can't count batman out but i hope the avengers does better.

we've seen batman on our screens seven times since 1989-2012,its time for something new.

the avengers the next great movie franchise.

Not completely sure. I'd say Avengers, but I might change that when we finally get to know details about Batman, esp. the villain(s) and casting in general.
