@LEEE: I saw the footage at SDCC and it looked pretty cool (I was actually only in the room because I was waiting for the next program).

but lee look at speedracer, the damn thing was shot with the intention of being a live action cartoon, with composit shots to mimic animation techniques and even having the actor mimic cartoon expressions and everyone said it sucked

i liked it but understand its not for everyone, but a "realisistic" take would not translate well, and this property is the same. unless you go over the top, it is not done justice, do that live action and people will pass.

it'll be good, and lets hope studios fail enough with the a-typical garbage they produce to re-think how to hand genre films, then lee we can have our live action astro boy

ok ive decided, lets all start our own film production company and make this stuff! wishful thinking i know...

I got ten bucks on the production company... maybe we should organize a comic book by emailing around the work and different jobs to get done. It would be fun. CBM puts out a book :) Then we can have a printing party
