SCOOB And AQUAMAN Director James Wan's MALIGNANT Are Now Undated Due To COVID-19 Delays

There's more bad release date news today as Warner Bros. has pushed back the release dates of three more upcoming releases, including Scoob and James Wan's new horror movie Malignant. Check it out...

Following the news that Wonder Woman 1984 has been given a new release date by Warner Bros., it's now been revealed that a number of other upcoming movies from the studio are also undated. This isn't a surprise, but it does emphasise how quiet Hollywood will be over the coming months (which was inevitable considering the fact movie theaters are closed for the foreseeable future).

Scoob (an animated reboot of the Scooby Doo franchise) was originally set to be released on May 15th, but it now no longer has a release date. Could it slip into 2021? It seems likely.

In the Heights, an adaptation of Lin-Manuel Miranda, is no longer coming on June 26th, while Aquaman director James Wan's horror movie Malignant has lost its August 14th slot for obvious reasons.

According to Variety, "Warner Bros. is now looking for new times to release 'In the Heights,' 'Scoob' and 'Malignant.'"

As of right now, we don't really have anything to look forward to before June or July, and even films like Soul and Morbius are probably at risk of being postponed at this point. Nothing is certain, but the hope is that things will start returning to normal by the end of the summer, hence why Wonder Woman 1984 has been given a firm release date by Warner Bros.

@tmp3 @regularmovieguy - I've learned not to take word from test screenings seriously, particularly after this video.

@MUTO123 - It's so cool that Sandberg still makes these cool videos about film-making in between making superhero movies

@tmp3 - Yeaahh. He's also so down-to-Earth and unglamorous about it, so didactic. Love the guy.

The wording on the title makes it seem like you're saying scoob is directed by james wan.
