As promised, we're kicking off the week with the first teaser trailer for Scoob! Starring the likes of Zac Efron, Kiersey Clemons, and Will Forte, Warner Bros. is certainly pulling out all the stops for this new animated adventure starring Scooby-Doo and the rest of the Mystery Machine's crew.

As you can see, it promises to delve into how Shaggy first met Scooby as well as the childhoods of characters like Fred, Velma, and Daphe. Interestingly, the voice cast will also include  Jason Isaacs as the infamous Dick Dastardly, Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman, and Mark Wahlberg as Blue Falcon.

Clearly, the studio is planning to delve into a lot of Hanna-Barbera franchises in Scoob!, a decision which will definitely be appreciated by fans of their animated slate. Directed by Tony Cervone, the movie is set for a May 15, 2020 release. You can watch the trailer for Scoob! below:

The first full-length animated Scooby-Doo adventure for the big screen is the never-before told stories of Scooby-Doo’s origins and the greatest mystery in the career of Mystery Inc. "SCOOB!" reveals how lifelong friends Scooby and Shaggy first met and how they joined with young detectives Fred, Velma and Daphne to form the famous Mystery Inc. Now, with hundreds of cases solved and adventures shared, Scooby and the gang face their biggest, most challenging mystery ever: a plot to unleash the ghost dog Cerberus upon the world.  As they race to stop this global "dogpocalypse," the gang discovers that Scooby has a secret legacy and an epic destiny greater than anyone imagined.

FYI @NateBest the thumbnails on the mobile site are overlapping the text headers. I can't see the first line of the headlines.

@ShellHead - Thanks for the heads up! I was working on it last week and can't replicate it, or figure out what's different, between the live site and the dev site :@

No sure how I feel with some of the voice acting choices. Everything else seems fine though.

After the live-action movies, I was hoping they would do a CG animated movie next.

Certain properties just don’t translate to live-action.

I kind of wish this movie was more stand alone, and didn’t include other Hanna-Barbera franchises. This feels like a push to start a Hanna-Barbera shared universe.

I'm not sure how to feel about some of the voices. Will Forte doesn't seem to be trying hard enough with his Shaggy voice. Even Scooby-Doo sounds a little off. Like there aren't enough R's in his vocabulary.

How this cartoon has managed to stay alive since the 70's is beyond me

@KWilly - It’s pretty amazing if you think about all the properties that were around at the same time and yet Scooby and the gang have never stopped releasing animated movies - sometimes twice a year - along with a few series revamps

@ElJefe - A lot of that is because Scooby was the catalyst. Scooby became a huge hit in the 70's and a lot of cartoons from that era were just trying to cash in it's populairty.
People often wonder the same about TMNT. So many rip-off attemptes that all died while TMNT lives on.

I've never really watched Scooby-Doo but has Scoob ever talked THAT much? Seems weird hearing him having full on conversations.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - Nah, he usually doesn't lol. Only says like a sentence a scene. And with a lot more R's in his vocabulary.

Are they going to explain why this dog talks?

I really loved the newer Scooby DC comics where he's an escaped test subject for artificially intelligent weaponized war dogs. I hope we can get a Scooby Apocalypse movie somewhere down the line.

I always feel bad for skeptics when there’s a new Scooby Doo thing coming out. Various groups used to herald Scooby for teaching kids to search out the truth behind supernatural hoaxes and that ghosts and monsters don’t really exist. (I guess they were cool with overlooking the talking dog part.)

Ever since Hanna Barbera decided to go with mysteries where the supernatural elements were real, it’s like they stabbed those groups in the back and took away their hero.

It sucks not to have brought Lillard back, but, as a life-long Scooby fan, I'm fine with what we've heard of the voices so far. And I'm hyped to see Blue Falcon, Dick Dastardly and the rest.

The animation looks really good, but I think it's weird that WB isn't advertising the fact that this is a crossover yet. Maybe they're waiting for the second trailer, or they want the general audience to be surprised.

Am I the only one who is completely distracted by the fact that Scooby's voice has been changed entirely? He also.speaks more fluently. Otherwise, I think this looks cool
