DRAGON BALL Anime Specials Coming to DVD in Japan

The new Bardock special is on its way to DVD in Japan, and hopefully the US soon !

A brand new scan from Saikyo Jump confirms the DVD release date of the last two Dragon Ball anime specials! Those two specials, slated for a February 3, 2012 release date, are Dragon Ball Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans and Dragon Ball Episode of Bardock!

Dragon Ball: Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans is an anime special that came along side Namco Bandai Games’ PS3 and Xbox 360 fighter, Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2. It features Dr. Raichi, the last of a highly advanced technological race, pitting some of Goku and Vegeta’s past enemies. His goal? Revenge on the Saiyans for wiping out his entire clan.

Dragon Ball Episode of Bardock Anime is a “what-if” spin-off sequel to the Dragon Ball Z Bardock – The Father of Goku special. In it, Bardock survives Frieza’s attack and meets and fights a member of Frieza’s race, Chilled, all while going Super Saiyan for the first time.

Awesome. I'm not a BIG fan of DBZ, but it's still an awesome show to watch. Can't wait! I hope that they have an English version of this.

I liked the Bardock one. It was a bit predictable but still fun to watch.

I really wanna watch the Plan to Eradicate the Super Saiyans one though! Great find!

The Bardock spin-off was lame. Anytime they add something it's like they make being a Super Saiyan less special.

Not all of the movies sucked BTW. I never watched the Western versions so they might have been different.

love DBZ, too bad the Kai series stopped at Cell. I wish they went from Cell straight to evil Majin Buu.

If you go online or youtube you can watch the Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans. Very good movie. Originally DBZ was only suppose to go to the Cell saga but they pushed Akira Toriyama to do more... So we got the Buu saga. I love it all!

@animeex- also Akira was going to make Gohan the main character after the cell saga but changed it to goku once again because he was afraid he'd loose the fan base if they did that. I would have been all for it if they did that instead just because im a huge gohan fan.

@deadpool101- yeah that was one of my favorite moments in DBZ when vegeta was majin and him and goku were duking it out and then he knocks goku out to go take buu on himself and made that sacrafice. i always had a soft spot for vegeta though he did get kind of annoying with always going on about him being the prince of sayains and what not.

gohan to me technically is the strongest character because the elder kai unlocked all of his hidden potential, cause gohan always had more power inside of him thats why he was able to bust out ssj2 at such a young age. when he got it unlocked in the buu saga he was a monster, i think hes was as strong as ssj3 goku but like i said Akira changed it so that goku was the main character. also i think he never went ssj once he got all his potential unlocked because that would have been way too much power for his body to handle at the time. but i did enjoy when goku and vegeta fused with the potara earrings and became vegito.

@luckylu- he isnt the only human in the dbz universe. are you forgetting yamcha? and i cant remember for sure if tien was human or not, he might belong to another race though. and then videl comes in the picture later and shes human as well. maser roshi is also human. i do love krillin though he is the comic of the show. as far as the strongest i'm not sure if he was or not.

at least toriyama show us full powered gohan before the series end and don't forgot gohan's role in defeating buu when he gives the biggest energy to goku's spirit bomb :D

Yes I love DBZ! Vegeta is also my favorite character. I loved when he was Super Vegeta going against Cell and was whooping him. Until of course, as is usuall the case with Vegeta, his confidence got the best of him and he allowed Cell to go to Perfect and then got trounced. Then Vegeta pulled out the Final Flash, which was an awesome sequence. Also as others have said, Majin Vegeta was awesomely badass as well. Can't wait to see these. I wish there were more DBZ episodes/movies frequently made.

@sillysteve- yeah you're right about tien, i couldn't quite remember if he was a human or another species but in that case tien is the strongest human just for the mere fact he was able to give cell a little trouble there for a bit. as for gohan im pretty sure that elder kai just unlocked all his potential because they had thought gohan was still the strongest during the tournament but hadnt been fighting since the cell saga he just had to get back to that strength because he wasnt training and his power lowered thats why the supreme kai took him to train with the z sword, but they didnt know goku was able to go ssj3 but when the elder kai appeared he went straight to gohan cause he knew he had a bunch of power inside of him still. thats what i think anyways cause i really didnt think it was a form.
