ok i'm not trying to criticize it right off the bat but...just look at them!!! those videos suck.

i enjoyed the girl's deoderant commerical that played before them better. The Goku and Chi-chi is school was horrendous, from the poor dialogue, lame acting, right down to the meaningless scene itself

Well im not a DRAGONBALL fan or anything but the tv spots ive seen! It looks friggin sweet!! An on the plus side, we wont be seeing stupid ULTIMATE NICK FURY in it lol!!! Anyway im watching it at the flicks!!! ; )

ive been watching it online and i think it's kinda lame, but ill admit that im not totally annoyed with it. it can keep me interested but its definitely a kids movie. i think a lot of you guys dont realize that most of the adult fans of this started being fans as kids, and if you were a kid who loved the cartoon, you'd love this movie. best actor is the guy who plays grampa, and he is killed in the beginning so thats a bummer. so far, what ive seen of marsters and the chick that plays mai are pretty good. goku sucks. chi chi is so so. roshi is kinda funny and bulma is like the worst. i like that actress and i actually think she resembles bulma a bit but her voice is all wrong.

I disagree Venom, because people do want to see the same thing over just on the big scree. That's why people are pissed.

They needed to change the storyline. Im mean why just go see a movie and they are saying the exact same words, same places and same looks. AAA*WaTChmen*CHOO

I agree with venom that the fight scenes could have been better. That video that was put up by grif has the right idea. They fight with speeed but more over they knocked each other into the ground or rocks. I would have thought to do the fights like DB or DBZ has. The destructive fights in the Hulk style. That is the way people really like it and everyone seems to want even Superman to go that way. As for humor... Goten and Trunks vs Android 18. LOL!

After seeing these terrible clips I think I will stick to the Anime and skip this so called "movie".........

alright everyone just calm down, okay. you're all going crazy over the dumbest things. Goku in high school, "airy" ki blasts. Now i'm not saying that it will be the biggest movie of the year beating out The dark knight from last year but c'mon guys, this is as anime set in an alternate earth wear animals talk and have jobs and there are flying cars and some of the most racist representations of black people in the world. it's a great show but you have to admit that there were a lot of goofy ideas in the manga that would not translate very well in a live action movie.

You all would be complaining if it went straight to goku in his 20's fighting off Vegeta within the first hour because his backstory wouldn't have gotten enough attention. there are always going to be differences in movie adaptations because it would be pointless if it were exact copies. frankly i don't think any comicbook movie will ever be as good as it's comic book counterpart but at least they're trying.

The real world needs to be coaxed in the series with some wire-fu word and little bity blasts and then once they get used to the idea of a couple of teenagers knowing Kung fu, BANG! That's when they bring in the fighting faster than light and sound, the superman flying, the talking animals (maybe), Mr. popo, god i hope not, Nameks, more aliens, vegeta and his tall-ass hair and of course Freeza's gay ass. How on earth are they going to do that? not like how he looks in the anime because that would be just plain weird.

Mainly, why is everyone so upset about how much it isn't like DBZ? there starting off with the early stuff in dragonball and James Marsters (spelling) even said that they want to start early in Goku's life. They aren't fighting so fast because they're power levels are probably only 1000, if that. they're Ki blast don't knock you across the city because of the same reason.

Yes there is no Krillan but how would a bald kid look on screen? retarded, that's how. Plus if you even watch Dragonball with young goku you'd see how cheesy and family oriented it is (except for Master Roshi of course, but that's just japan being perverted. America would never have an old man shasing after a bunch of 14 year old. He would be creepy with a real face and frankly it would make uncomfortable watching any more Chow-yung fat movies.)

No one was crazy powerful in dragonball until the saiyans showed up in DBZ. What we have to understand is that the entire Dragonball series is huge and if they're willing to plan everything out over a few trilogies (like they should) then i'm all for it. i'm willing to wait to see a super saiyan cause then all that build up would be worth it. here's hoping for Tien, Krillan, Chowtzu, (without the creepy makeup), Red Ribbon army, and maybe Gohan at the end, setting up for a third film with Radditz, King Kai and Vegeta. 2nd trilogy: Vegeta survived, piccolo died, space travel to Namek, Dodoria, ginyu force (maybe), 5th movie: tien, krillen, chotzu, yamcha and piccolo train under King Kai, goku heads to namek, vegeta fights ginyu force and meets freeza, fight, fight, fight! with Goku showing up at the end to kick some ginyu ass with the 6th film delivering the conclusion of the Battle on Namek story, with all of earth's fighters fighting off the remaining forces of Freeza finally revealing Goku as a super saiyen, right before the planet explodes. Bad ass. and by that time Justin Chatwin would have grown up and the kid friendly story would have adapted into more of an action oriented smash-fest. OOOOOOOOOOOrrrrrrrr the studios think that it's balls and gets cancelled. who knows, all i know that i will go see it and it will be cheesy but most comicbook and videogame movies are. But i still like them.

I'm black and I don't think DBZ was racist towards blacks. I don't remember them saying Mr.PoPo is African American. They should cancel the movie..

i remember Mr.PoPo's big pink lips. that was a little off putting but I chose to ignore it. alot of movies or shows imported from other countries have those kind of odd race related stereotypes. If it really offended me I would just stop watching.
