Attack On Titan (Shinkegi No Kyojin) is a recent phenomenon in the manga/anime world. Written and illustrated by Hajime Isayama, the story takes place in a medieval-esque society which is forced to live within three massive walls, Maria, Sina, and Rose. Outside the walls roam gigantic, humanoid creatures known as Titans, who have an unquenchable hunger for human flesh.

Here today is our first look at the appearance of the Titans themselves, in the rather bizarre form of a Subaru commercial.

Directed by Shinji Higuchi, Attack On Titan is anticipated for a 2015 release.

It's Japanese. Of course it's a good car. Other than that, can't wait to see more from this. The movie, not Subaru.

Why can't we get a Live Action Full Alchemist Brotherhood 9 hour Trilogy like LOTR?

@Dev

It's a commercial for a car. How much money do you think they will shell out? And the actual movie hasn't started shooting yet.

Still FMAB is a awesome series and would love to be adapted some day...also it would not cost as much money due to it not being fantasy inspired...

This is one movie that needs need a collaboration with the U.S, because the cgi will look horrible (Cassern Sins). I'm pretty sure they will nail the story.

I would not mind Amerasian Actors as long as it is a collab between the US and Japan..Dane DeHaan as Eren or Levi

FMA would be awesome for a live action treatment.....It's popular, story is great, and it should be one of the easier animes to put on the big screen.

@Malco

I would just want a American budget, so it will do the anime justice. If I'm not mistaken, the characters in the show are mixed races, so it could make sense for a collab.

But who should play Edward Elric and Roy Mustang?

@Dev

Not yet. Those titans are for Subaru only. There is no footage yet.

I'm not sure about Edward, I wouldn't mind seeing Josh Harnett make a comeback in FMA, as Roy Mustang. I could see that kid from Ironman 3 be Alphonse Elric.

I think at least in CGI, it should be left to an American company...everything, you guys can do it.

Dev7- Actually those two titans were prosthetics with some VFX but the colossal titan was pure VFX.
