Aaron Taylor-Johnson Explains What Differentiates AOU's Quicksilver From The X-MEN's

When it was announced that both Fox's X-Men: Days Of Future Past and Marvel's Avengers: Age Of Ultron would feature the speedster Quicksilver, it was easy to be a little curious about how the whole situation would play out. Fortunately for fans everywhere, it looks like both iterations of the character have been handled fairly well. Last year, Evan Peters' scene-stealing version was met with rave reviews in the Bryan Singer-directed blockbuster, and after a few early screenings of the upcoming Joss Whedon-directed film, Aaron Taylor-Johnson's version seems like he'll be well-liked as well. Even though it's still too early for us to pass our own judgments, there have been a few early reactions claiming the X-Men's take on Quicksilver is a tad better, so take from that what you will.
Although, outside of a rumored deleted scene, one thing the X-Men's version didn't have that the Avengers' version does is his mind-bending twin sister, the Scarlet Witch, someone stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass) and Elizabeth Olsen (Liberal Arts) describe as absolutely essential to making Pietro who his is. While he once again doesn't say much, he does say that Marvel's take on the character will defy expectations and that fans will be absolutely delighted to see which direction they take the character.
