AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Villain Ultron Set To "Invade" The Marvel Gaming Universe

With Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron set to hit theaters May 1st, Marvel Games Creative Director Bill Rosemann has announced that Ultron (the main villain in the sequel film) will appear in many games in the Marvel Gaming Universe. These games include Marvel Pinball, Marvel Contest of Champions, Marvel Heroes, Marvel Puzzle Quest, and Marvel Avengers Alliance. Bill Rosemann then tells why he thinks adding Ultron in these games is a good move. "Our mantra from the last few months has been 'Ultron invades Marvel Games.' The beauty of something like this is, you can see Avengers: Age of Ultron and then you can say, 'You know what? I want to be an Avengers, I want to fight against Ultron,' and you can do it." With that said get your first look at Ultron's invasion of Marvel Contest of Champions below.

Will we get an official Avengers: Age of Ultron tie-in video game? Even though the Marvel Studios office is "literally down the hall" from the gaming division, Peter Phillips, EVP of Interactive & Digital Distribution says that an official Avengers: Age of Ultron game is possible, but it's "just that it's not going to come out May 1 to tie in with the movie." He then goes on to say how he thinks their gaming department is a huge part of Marvel as a whole. "[Avengers: Age of Ultron's] something that's going to be on people's minds for years, partially because we've got other characters with their own films and tie-ins that have been already announced, but also because there are so many storylines and ways that connect with it in other forms of Marvel's business. Games is a piece of that, and enables us to tell that story moving forwards."

Ultron's gaming invasion is set to start on April 23, 2015. Are you exicted about this news? Check out the official poster below!

Marvel should get SCEA (the ones that did the God of War trilogy) to do their action adventure games.

I swear for Disney being such merchandise whores, can we get one decent video game like the Alliance games or Arkham games?

I mean $hit we are on the second Avengers movie with no game attached to them.

I said this before, I'll say it again.

YOU. WILL. NEVER. SEE. A. MARVEL. GAME. FOR. CONSOLES. OTHER. THEN. LEGO. AND. DISNEY. INFINITY. FOR. YEARS.

Disney doesn't know how to [frick]ing make video games. Instead of keeping LucasArts and using LucasArts to make Disney related video games to get their video game department up, they shut it down and sold the Star Wars license to EA.

If Disney does not know how to make Star Wars games themselves, Marvel will never succeed at consoles unless they sell their game rights.

Marvel is dead in terms of console gaming.

@dethpillow

I'm mixed about Battlefront. Only 4 planets, no space battles, no single player campaign, and no prequel battles piss me off.

I'ma still buy it because it's Battlefront but my expectations are really, really low.

I would love to see a turn based strategy RPG that goes through the history of Marvel Comics. Something like Final Fantasy Tactics or Disgaea.

With the Avengers they could do stuff like the Kree/Skrull War, Hydra, Masters of Evil, Ultron, Kang.

With the Fantastic Four they could do Mole Man, Dr Doom.

With the X-Men they could do Brotherhood, Sentinels, Mojoverse.

They could get some street level hero stuff going on.

Then get everybody together for Galactus or Infinity War.

Would be crazy.
