Chris Evans Drops Intriguing AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON Plot Detail About CAPTAIN AMERICA

In an interview about Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Chris Evans has revealed a potentially very intriguing plot detail about Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron, relating specifically to what Captain America gets up to in the sequel. Read on for details...

In an interview with The Scotsman, it appears as if Chris Evans inadvertently revealed a pretty interesting plot detail about Avengers: Age of Ultron. As you can see from the excerpt below, the actor let slip the fact that he's been fitted up for a period jacket for Joss Whedon's highly anticipated superhero sequel (the full interview can be found by clicking the link below).

One jacket appears briefly at the start of The Winter Soldier, when former soldier Steve Rogers pays a visit to a present-day Captain America exhibition at the Smithsonian. “They were great jackets” he says enthusiastically. “I loved the fit and the look. One of them may even have come home with me.” And then he mentions that he’s just been measured up for another period jacket for his next Avengers film. Does that suggest the Captain will return to his past in the The Avengers: Age Of Ultron? Evans looks briefly agonised, realising that he might be confirming an unauthorised plot detail ahead of that film’s 2015 release. “Maybe,” he says coyly.

Common sense says that the actor could just be referring to a jacked that the present day version of Steve Rogers will don, but his response arguably indicates that we will indeed be getting some sort of World War II flashback. Time travel (as in the comic book) seems somewhat unlikely.  Why? Well, something in relation to HYDRA's Baron Von Strucker seems far more realistic, although it really is impossible to say one way or another at this point. What do you guys think?

He'll probably be the one in Wolverine's place in the comic storyline of Age of Ultron.

It would be so cool if this starts in the future after Ultron has already won and then one of the Avengers has to travel back in the past.

Hope this is just for a flashback.

Last time El Mayimbe hyped up a really big scoop it was that Johnny Depp being Doc. Strange and Lex Luther background/plot details. Both underwhelming.

Honestly, if he just wears the TFA outfit throughout the Avengers sequel, I'll be happy. The fact it's back in Winter Soldier is a blessing. Nothing beats that outfit for me.

I don't get why people are so high on Cap wearing chain mail in the films. Just because it looks okay in the comics does not mean it will translate well to film. Cap's look in the current Avengers series is practical, awesome-looking, and is actually militaristic, unlike the chain-mail fish scales.

If its a good trailer that shows a tease of action and some Sentinels- I will give it a standing ovation... is it wrong to want to see more than a somber voice over on top of quick cuts to the main character pieces- Magneto using magnetism, Wolverine flexing and screaming, Mystique crying...

A little action that's all...fingers crossed. It doesn't have to be the TASM 2 trailer just something a little more 'superhero'

I am very excited for TWS and AoU. So [frick]ing amazing, what marvel has planned, I swear. DC could learn to make more movies and have a big plan like Marvel has, and Marvel could use better villains.

I doubt GoTG will make more than 600 Million at best. But I could see GoTG making more. MCU makes more than anyone, though DC and Sony have some chances, it just depends on the competition and marketing.
